Spinning Dancer - silhouette illusion

I did a search on this and came up empty so apologies if someone has already posted it. With practice you can get her to change the direction she's spinning. Do you see her as spinning clock-wise or anti-clockwise?

Initial view ever time is counterclockwise, though occasionally I can force her to spin the other way by focusing on her pivot foot and picturing her toe going the opposite way when it's lined up with her ankle.

 

Counter-clockwise at first...



Then...


Mind = Blown.

 

I don't know if it's significant, but most of the initial counter-clockwise viewers have been male - in my experience. A few times I've been able to look away from the computer and imagine seeing the change of direction - when I look back she's doing it.

nope... she's spinning clockwise, and there aint a damned thing i can do about it...

Is it just my computer that is making it pause and hiccup, or is that intentional?

 

She does have remarkably perky breasts. Then again, I'd imagine her figure will hold up quite well over the years. After all, she is a dancer.

 

Is she a private dancer? A dancer for money? Will she do what I want her to do?

 

She will. And any old music will do.

 

I saw this in one of my art classes, interesting to say the least.

 

anti-clockwise for me to start - now seeing clockwise.

 

For me she spins in a random direction more or less although can make her switch directions at will.

To my eye there is a clear point at which the image very smoothly stops spinning clockwise/right and starts spinning counterclockwise/left.

It's the video, not my imagination.

Edit: Every time, same spot, same time.

 

I see the first two rotating clockwise.
The third, counter-clockwise.

 

Same.

In the original post the single figure starts clockwise & takes a bit to turn counter.

In the second post the single figure turns starts clockwise & turns counter fairly quickly.

This reminds me of an educational film I saw in the the mid '70s. From an angle the arm in the circle appears to be turning clockwise, but as the camera moves "up" to give a more direct view the arm is moving counter. That one still puzzles me.
