I hope I covered everything, but I'm sure I missed something.

I think I've had everything in the poll (aside from Baklava, which sounds enticing except I cannot have nuts anymore)

I truly don't have favorites; I go by whatever I'm in the mood for.

    A very late edit.

I'm guessing that custard goes under ice cream. I mention it because Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has some custard desserts that are absolutely delicious.

Yesterday we (mostly my wife) baked a cherry pie made with fresh cherries & a homemade crust. Some of the cherries are a little tart, some a litte sweeter, it makes a nice taste contrast.

After our cremains adventure this morning, we had the last bit of pineapple upside down cake as part of our lunch.

Wanted to mention this, as Cynthetiq introduced me to it recently- salty liquorice!

    Details: Salty liquorice - Wikipedia

Also, there's a tiny shop in NYC that sells this: www.myzels.com
(They can take orders through the internet, but only if you have a FaceBook/Instagram account- this means I'm outta luck!)

(But they also take orders via phone, so don't fret on my part- I just need to remember what they had on the shelves!)

Side note- there are a few varieties of this liquorice, and the slightly-salty kind is the best to start off with! (I have always detested black liquorice, but trying this made me change my mind. I still enjoy red liquorice, but if someone offered me the salty goodness, I don't think I'd refuse.) :)

My wife couldn't understand why I don't like liquorice, given my sweet tooth. Then I tried some liquorice from the UK, which taste nothing like any liquorice I've ever had. I haven't changed my mind about it, but it's good to know there are some varieties.

I'm now having mental images of a liquorice sampler plate accompanied by a glass of Nyquil.

During our brief foray into Wisconsin for the meetup, we stopped at a Cracker Barrel and I picked up a supply of these!

    Major sugar fix.

My wife & I had a late lunch at Freddy's Steak Burger.

    SFW?, you ask.

Answer, neither of us had a frozen custard.
