If I figure out how I'll post a picture of the place to give some context...

But this is the weirdest thing that ever happened to me.

I was walking/hiking by the sea and through a salt marsh (between Dunwich and Walberswick if youre interested!) On one side was the sea, and on the other a line of trees and farmland about a mile away. Suffolk is very flat in general and I could see at least a mile in every direction. I was walking on a boardwalk that ran through the marsh and on both sides immediately was reeds about waist high (its a protected area for the birds that nest there). I stopped to take a photo of the sea and I saw a girl jogging towards me about 80 yards away. I didnt study her intensively (and had no reason to) but definitely saw her, saw what she was wearing, (black leggings, a purple running vest, a back hair band) and roughly what she looked like (brown hair, normal build, late 20's).

I turned and started walking on but I was getting ready to step to the side of the boardwalk because she was obviously going faster than me as she was jogging. After a max of 15 seconds I couldnt hear her and so I turned around, and she wasnt there.

I am 100% certain the only place she could have gone was to dive into the marsh (which would be nuts). There was no way she could have turned around and ran back and gotten out of my site, no side paths anywhere near... she either jumped into the reeds and hid (and didnt make any sound doing so) or she vanished. There was nothing in any way weird in how she looked, she was wearing modern clothes, looked completely normal, and there was nobody else around.

It wasnt really scary but I was a bit freaked out. I even walked back down the path for a bit to check there was definitely no path off the boardwalk I missed or she hadnt fallen and hurt herself and needed help... but she was just gone. After a few minutes I just gave up and kept going on my walk.

    _

Anyone else got any weird experiences?

    kramus what I might see

My old family home - a portrait I did a while back of the back side. My room was under the peak at the top, that was my balcony 78F91523-B234-414E-8CE8-07023C7E557E.jpeg
A photo I took of the front of the place shortly before it was sold 3AE647BC-1126-4DBC-9CF1-244B5747F85C.jpeg As a teen I lived in a big beautiful house with stained glass and carved wood and a double staircase leading to the servants quarters, built in 1878. My room was in the attic. I always stayed up late reading. Different times I would hear a party going on downstairs - laughter, the murmer of different voices, old thin sounding music, footsteps on the floors below. This only happened when I was the only person home - everyone else in my family would be at the cottage or staying elsewhere. The house would be completely empty and dark except for my room in the top of the attic. I never explored after the first time, when the sound faded as I stepped into the hallway and peered down a darkened well that was 3 stories deep. After that time I just latched my bedroom door and put my own radio on and buried myself in a book.

    Who cares, really?
I wouldn't really call it a "ghost" encounter, but I did visit a place where an unusual phenomenon occurs.

I apologize for the low quality of the pics; these were taken around 2002. This place is located in the upper peninsula of Michigan along highway 45.

    This is the spot itself.

The purple arrow is the road alongside the spot where the light(s) can be seen. The green arrow is a superhero.

    Ba-dum-bum! ;)

All kidding aside, the green arrow indicates where the lights appear. When we visited the area, it was about 3:00 pm in mid-February, and quite light out, as you can see. However, we saw a steady shining light after a few minutes, which occasionally seemed to change colors. I would rationalize that we were likely looking at headlights/brakelights from the road, except that some of the lights were green, and the time of day didn't seem to require turning your headlights on.

There's a website devoted to this:
    Paulding Light

You can see vids on it over at YouTube, but I'll let you choose which ones you want to view, as there's about 1,200 clips!

Bottom line: I remain skeptical. :)

I watched a TV show that showed it. I was fascinated by it and think at some point I'll drive it to see it.
