With the subpoena for Donald Trump Jr by a Republican Senate committee chair...we may finally see GOPrs for true Rule of Law.

I hope this is true, because as I said elsewhere, you cannot wrap yourself in the flag and shred it at the same time.
IMHO, you cannot say you love this country and support what has been done to undermine the US and our capabilities, both nationally and internationally.
Whether or not you believe the action were directed by Russia ...these have diminished our standing throughout the world and benefited our opponent, especially to Russia's advantage.

So, if conservatives and GOPrs do truly love their land...then what the fuck are you doing supporting this bastard??
I'm conservative this way...I love the US, I want our nation to succeed...not to insult our allies, but support them...and certainly not cater to Russian or any other hostile nation's aggression.

The only thing I'm seeing is xenophobia, racism and supporting the party above anything.
    That's tribalism
    NOT nationalism.

If you're truly for America, then you want it to be a leader in the world...not a tyrant, not hiding behind borders...but leading by example, support and surpassing limitations...and checking opposition's aggression.
Aggression of those nations taking advantage of our allies, hurting them, undermining them...much less FUCKING with our own nation, its elections AND our infrastructure. (yes, this IS true...and you're ignoring it)

    You are supporting a putz.
One that has betrayed our country.
One that is corrupt supporting his own financial gain.
    One that is creating chaos.
One who's whole world is based on LIES.
What the fuck are ya thinking??

    Please someone tell us.

This type of logic is about as twisted as the person who says, keep the government out of my social security.
    It's pure anger.
    Pure neglect.
    Pure ignorance.

This is NOT liberal vs conservative...this is ignoring what the nation is built on.
For a con-artist that is leveraging your base emotions, fear and anger.

The probe is to find out if Russia FUCKED US.
YES - they attacked our country...and our allies...and are doing it even now.
Not by guns or bombs...but rotting our institutions like termites...AND messing with ours heads, literally. (hacking, corruption, propaganda and so on)

So are you for this nation or not?
Do you want the US to be a global leader or not?

Support the schmuck...OR support your nation. (it's completely opposite, truly...if your honest with yourself and watching the obvious actual results)

So, if you're smart AND truly for the nation.
You support the probe...and get this fuckin' traitor and incompetent out of office.

And also find out who else the Russian's (and other opposing nations) have compromised.
    Follow the money!!

What do you want? Tell us.

Barr taps U.S. attorney in Connecticut to investigate origins of Russia probe

    For shame
    Investigating the investigators.

Now, it's just another way to distract, demean and devalue.

Y'know damn well, there was a legit reason for the investigation...the fuckin' Russians attacked and muddied the waters of our election...if not our national soul.
The push and spin of this bullshit is profound.

They just don't have any shame...the audacity is off the charts.

Makes me wonder, how many soulless whores they can find to be their attack dogs and push their agenda.
Because every single pro that's left after getting hired and surviving...they all talk negatively and imply they escaped.

Makes ya warm and fuzzy knowing how much BS is in the West Wing and the damage being done.

I Watched 20 Hours of Robert Mueller Testifying. Here’s What Congress Would Be In For.

    Interesting perspective.

If he doesn't suffer fools, he's going to rip the stupid questions that the GOP are floating these days apart.
Then again, he also won't feed Dem innuendo or speculation too.

    On another note...
Judge upholds Dem subpoena for Trump financial records

This is a significant precedent...a ruling that you can investigate without impeachment.
Which makes sense and is necessary for checks in power.

Ocasio-Cortez hits NYT over story on Hope Hicks: It's framed 'as some Lifetime drama'

    Oh snap! Damnnn...

    And BTW...she's completely right.
Often mainstream newspapers...even the hard hitting ones act like the tabloids.

Keep to the meat of the matter folks, if you want your cred.
Stay away from the glaze and sauces.

It's better if it's fresh meat cooked nicely.
    No need for fixins'

BTW...your typical NYT politics reader is looking for substance...not like your Sunday extras and fluff pieces.

That is just white privilege. And I hate that term.

'Hope Hicks considering participating in a coverup led by the President' would have been the more accurate headline.

Was Mueller’s dodge on obstruction a blunder — or brilliant?

    Interesting perspective...
I do know from my time working as a contractor for the Federal govt, Treasury, DOD, DOJ and WH...that they are restricted by policy and protocol AND laws, more than what people think.
    Way more
Much of govt work is working within them or figuring out workarounds.
It's NOT a Hollywood plot or magic.
    It's very real.

    Perhaps
But it WAS a letdown, momentum and morale-wise
Then again much of government IS
    No matter what level.

Maybe @Street Pattern would know more than me.

It just shows that the Constitution and laws never anticipated anyone who acts like Trump. Or they had the tar and feather method of dealing with people back in the 1700s that prevented these types of things from happening.

The problem I see with Mueller was that he was still under the DOJ, when he should have been reporting to Congress, and making the decision if there was enough evidence to hold impeachment hearings. In front of Congress is where Trump would have been able to defend himself, that is the court-room for the President.

And there is still a lot missing from the report. Maybe it is in the redacted parts. Tax return information, what was going on with Deutsche Bank, intelligence recordings or notes between Americans working on the campaign or transition and foreigners, inauguration expenses, bribery and pay-for-play schemes.

The media helped him too by spreading out and already covering most of the information in the report. And they aren't organizing it all into a 4 hour YouTube movie like the right-wing conspiracy people would have made to tie it all together and show this is why the entire Republican/Conservative movement is corrupt and no one should vote for them.

    This seems pretty straight forward.

“Could you charge the president with a crime after he left office?” Buck asked.

    “Yes,” Mueller said.

Look further down the line. Do we really think the Democrats want to imprison Trump, well many do, but politically it would be like going after the investors and big bank managers who created the Great Recession. They don't have the guts to do it, and don't want the distraction and blowback. Let's say Biden wins in 2020, he would lose in 2024 to Nikki Haley or even Ivanka would be difficult for him to beat. The optics would be horrible. And we know that Trump's plan if he had lost was to create Trump TV and compete with Fox News about how bad Hillary was to make a lot of money. Now, he will just create it in 2021 or 2025.

And the showing from a different perspective...not politically, but professionally
    Actually, Robert Mueller Was Awesome

    I could respect this.

However, should it be done from a cold context...or push it knowing that it prevent damage.
I guess the politicians are on the hook to do the responsible thing.
    Unfortunately, they'll do the political.
Which IS what most are pissed about at DC.

Sometimes, you actually have to steer the boat away from the rocks.
