I found this extensive personality quiz... (*compliments of Fark)
which notes what kind of D&D character you'd end up being.

    It's actually pretty interesting.

    Link

So this is what I came up with...

Lawful Neutral Human Fighter/Sorcerer (3rd/3rd Level)

    Ability Scores:
    Strength‐ 14
    Dexterity‐ 15
    Constitution‐ 14
    Intelligence‐ 16
    Wisdom‐ 16
    Charisma‐ 15

Yet many of the questions I changed because I could go either way...
or on the 2nd go I was noting when I was at my best or "on" as it were.
Some questions, just had to be the same...because that's just who I am...others easily change.

So when I did it again

Neutral Good Human Wizard (7th Level)

    Ability Scores:
    Strength- 17
    Dexterity- 17
    Constitution- 15
    Intelligence- 19
    Wisdom- 15
    Charisma- 17

And the 2nd, that seems more like me (although I've got a bit of warrior/rogue experience too...)

So when I'm allowing for my bad days...I become more instinctual
But if on my good days, I become disiplined

I've been tricked into this before.
I've never played D&D so I had someone try to explain to me about Lawful and Neutral and other D&D jargon was before I took the quiz, and I just got confused.

If I do this again and post the answer, will someone explain it?

    Ooooh. I'm a Neutral Good Human Druid/Bard.

    Ability Scores:
    Strength- 14
    Dexterity- 15
    Constitution- 16
    Intelligence- 14
    Wisdom- 15
    Charisma- 14

Not too shabby. I usually play as a half-elf sorcerer, but this makes more sense, personality-wise.

    Oh--the descriptions:

I'm a Lawful Good Wizard. I think this is hilarious because just a couple weeks ago I was talking to one of my male friends about class choices in World of Warcraft. He always plays melee characters, and I largely play casters. My pandaren monk was the first melee class I'd played in a while.

The results actually give pretty good descriptions of everything. I think we have enough D&D players here (former and current) that someone could explain more in depth if you needed.

I'd say this fits me pretty well.

    You Are A:

True Neutral Human Ranger (5th Level)

    Ability Scores:
    Strength- 12
    Dexterity- 13
    Constitution- 11
    Intelligence- 12
    Wisdom- 13
    Charisma- 12

    Alignment:
True Neutral- A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

    Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

    Class:
Rangers- Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter's dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

    That was a long test.

My scores are about as neutral as my alignment. The choice of Sorcerer makes a lot of sense too -- smart enough to cast spells but not driven enough to study them.

  11. I've never played the game, but to be sociable, I took the test and share:

    You Are A:

Lawful Good Human Wizard/Sorcerer (4th/3rd Level)

    Ability Scores:
    Strength- 14
    Dexterity- 12
    Constitution- 13
    Intelligence- 16
    Wisdom- 14
    Charisma- 17

    Alignment:
Lawful Good- A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment when it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

    Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

    Primary Class:
Wizards- Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

    Secondary Class:
Sorcerers- Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Don't know if this is good, bad or mediocre, but this is who/what they say I am.

My favourite character to play is a Chaotic Good Barbarian Fighter, after that I would play theives or rangers. I always hated magic users. Too weak and too much faffing about with spells and incantations. I'd rather bash a skull or pick a lock.

Some of my favourite campaigns involved cities, rather than the traditional keep or dungeon.

So neutral sorcerer comes as a bit of a surprise.

My scores seem to be lower than everyone else. A lot of the questions are things I don't do, but the options wouldn't allow to pick otherwise.

Well, when I played D&D my best characters tended to be Chaotic Good Clerics.
Play for the "Big Guys" up there...with connections.
But mostly get to do what I want, but still keep my nose clean.
And I can melee fight decently, some good spells (mostly for the group), some good healing.
Enough Wisdom to lead and Charisma too.

Strange, very different than what I am in real life.

Try this...be in "hero form"...think of yourself when you're at your best.
    Answer it boldly.

You may get a different result the 2nd time around...I did.

A very entertaining quiz! I got:

Neutral Good Human Wizard/Cleric (3rd/3rd Level)

    Ability Scores:
    Strength- 13
    Dexterity- 13
    Constitution- 13
    Intelligence- 17
    Wisdom- 15
    Charisma- 14

Which seems about right on target, IMHO. It probably overestimated my strength a smidge, and I might've thought Good/Neutral rather than Neutral/Good, but I suppose it's fair. Although I'm sorry, but if I'm a wizard/cleric, I'm totally better than 3rd Level. My magic is badass.

Um, dude, your character level is 6 because you have 3 levels each in wizard and cleric. (That's compared to my character level of 4.) Also you're a wizard and a cleric. You've gone arcane and divine! That's much better than my level 4 wizard of average intelligence. My maximum spell level is 6, for crying out loud. You have so much more to look forward to!
