The reason the AP and other sources are projecting at least one Democratic candidate victory is the most of the remaining uncounted ballots are from urban areas with strong histories of Democratic support.

Note: On their website the Associated Press has a very detailed explanation of how they handle elections coverage. It's worth reading.

That AP explanation is good, read that after the main election...

You've probably heard Pence told T that he has no power to throw the show.
    But of course T disagrees.
So, at least it didn't sound like Pence is ready to light that bomb..
Hope we know what Perdoushbag outcome is soon.

The first two hour break is taking place.

Do we really have to go through this on every legitimate objection? Possibly four more times?

No wonder politicians get away with pulling so much crap. They bury everything in proceedings and bore everyone to death. A war of attrition, except people don't give up they die of boredom and frustration.

I just put everything under the word, “posturing”

Everything is done to fulfill an agenda and give themselves face time.

Dems are just as guilty as the others
It’s just that the GOP has made it inane lately.
    Especially their extremists.

Remember folks, you are up there for US.

Protesters have pretty much taken over the capital building in DC. The fucking law enforcement agencies didn't recognize the potential for disruption, even violence?

This is beyond ridiculous. It shouldn't have been planned, it should have been anticipated, it should've been shut down before it even started.

Windows are being broken. Doors are barricaded. Guns are drawn. Shots have been fired. A woman has been shot. We are not some third or fourth world country.

Conman has sent a video via Twitter.

He needs to go on national TV.

Even in his fucking Tweet Conman says the election was stolen from him. Like that's going help calm down the mob.

    Trump's remarks moments ago.

This was the most shameful display by a president in my lifetime, if not, the history of the US as his supporters riot and engage in an insurrection at the US Capitol as members of Congress attempt to fulfill their Constitutional responsibility.

To continue to claim the election was "stolen from him and he won by a landslide but his violent supporters should go home" are the remarks of a cowardly, despicable and disgusting excuse for a national leader.

I didn't start hating him until he left the Kurds to be slaughtered by the Turks.
Now I loath him with all of my being.
He is really is the worst thing that has ever happened to this country.

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

The response of the Capital Police was extremely disappointing.
When a violent mob storms the seat of our federal government the response should be disproportionate and overwhelmingly violent.
Did you see the mob smashing down the doors?
Put two cops 20 feet back from those doors each with 12 gauge shotguns loaded with buckshot.
As soon as they breach the doors, start firing.
I guarantee after 2 rounds nobody else is coming through those doors.

Didn't anyone in law enforcement anticipate this? Some heads need to roll.

    Absolutely agree with you there.
Should have seen this coming weeks ago, and been much better prepared.
Those rioters and looters should not have got within 1000 feet of the buildings.

I wonder if Conman knew about this in advance.

In one of his recent speeches he made a passing comment along the lines of "wait until you see what we have planned for the sixth." He could've been referring to the objections, or something far more dangerous. If it ever comes out that Conman absolutely knew in advance about a planned riot he would deserve some prison time.

    ---------

McConnell's reconciliation speech was half-assed, too little and way too late.

I missed Ted Cruz's justification speech (the network showed their people babling).

It's been talked about for quite a while, that this was comming isn't any secret.
Just a couple days ago I read the plan is to go, no gang colors, and also set up an armed camp.

Forcibly invading the Capitol Building was a known plan?

Unfortunately, most have forgotten this already.
And unfortunately, the Kurds will not forget.
We lost a powerful stabilizing force in the Mid-East.
And countering Turkey’s tyrannical leader and Russia.

All that money, effort and lives wasted.
Chaos reigns still in that area.
