Reports are Melania wanted Conman to be reelected as much as he wanted to be reelected, and she handled the loss much better.

Although participating in snubbing the Bidens doesn't say much for her, except maybe she's a dedicated wife.

What happens between them when Conman's "empire" starts getting stripped away, his "fortune" starts dwindling, and he becomes a social pariah? Oh, yes, if he becomes an incarcerated criminal? Loses his XPOTUS perks?

I read that Conman can keep his SS* protection no matter what he's convicted of, politically and criminally.

    * SS fits Conman much better than Secret Service.

Fauci on What Working for Trump Was Really Like

Forget about the drama, what I like is this guy just keeps going!
He’s been doing this for 40 years... (and several presidents)
And he’s going through this...and he didn’t stop

And he’s saying (at 80) he’s still got more to do on other major diseases
Friggin’ heroic. Doing it all for us...day after day.

And all the estimates he’s made so far have been on the money
Very pragmatic, thinks real not ideal...accounting for what if’s and the human factors.
A true application scientist with mgmt and social skills to boot
    Very impressive
Kudos, sir...and thank you very much

And on top of that, thanks for dealing with a bunch of nincompoops.

If only, they had listened and cooperated...

Trump Pressed Justice Department to Go Directly to Supreme Court to Overturn Election Results — The Wall Street Journal

    Why, of course he did.

I don’t think the delay to start the impeachment will be the advantage the GOP thinks...

It gives everyone more time to find out all the bullshit he was doing and get it in the news.

Time is NOT to his advantage
    Nor for theirs

    Denial only goes so far
And Americans memories aren’t THAT short
The Trial is a fairly quick thing in government terms

I wonder what else they’re going to find out the slime did???

Who da fuck knows...other than his cronies.
Ironic that he would throw any of them under the bus in a split second for his convenience.

I wonder if any will crow...

    * BTW, TFA is not from a liberal source, the Wall Street Journal is fairly conservative.

Conman Trump also wanted to replace the US Attorney General with one who would support his election fraud charges and continue to pursue legal action.

This was after one of his most loyal ass-suckers, then US AG appointed by Conman, William Barr said there was no significant voter fraud. His resignation *might* have been voluntary, the acceleration most certainly was not.

Apparantly the threat of numerous resignations within the DOJ halted the change.

This attempt probably was not illegal, but it can certainly be used against Conman. Hopefully proof of quid pro quo will be presented, Trump offered the job in exchange for guaranteed support of his election fraud campaign.

It would have been interesting to see who would have appointed if that has actually happened.
Who would sell their soul to be in that position?
Jim Jordan maybe, he does have a law degree and he is a big enough asshole.

    30,573...

The final analysis from the Washington Post shows just how much Trump lied or misled the American people and how it got worse in each of his four years in office.

He averaged six false claims a day during his first year in office, 16/day during his second, 22/day during his third and 39/day during his last year.

The worst, of course, was the last two months in office and the dangerous lies about the "rigged and stolen" election repeated almost daily that ended with the MAGA mob storming the U.S. Capitol in a deadly insurrection.

And the equally dangerous long term impact of the four year stream of more and more lies every year have taken a toll, according to presidential historian Michael Beschloss,

“As a result of Trump’s constant lying through the presidential megaphone, more Americans are skeptical of genuine facts than ever before,” he told the Post.

Trump made 30,573 false or misleading claims as president. Nearly half came in his final year

The last comment, basically saying a smarter and more competent conman could succeed where Trump failed, is true and very scary.

There is, and will continue to be, a large percentage of the population who will never believe the election was fair, and they certainly won't disbelieve what Conman Trump said no matter how much solid evidence is presented to prove he lied.

    I try :)

Although, frankly I think it's obvious
We got lucky this time (in a twisted and torturous way)

What I don't understand is how people can ignore it...or let it linger. (From ANY party or side)

    It's like DUH
    Do something about it!
Don't just wring your hands or play posturing games.

There are apparent gaps in the law and constitution
You'd think ALL sides would want to fix it so they don't get abused by the opposition in the future. (much less it what's good for the nation)

But all sides are too busy trying to one up each other...or save face, etc. and so on.

    Fuckin' do your jobs!!

Since the GOP Senators are going to give Trump a walk...

At this point I can only hope that Conman Trump faces so many legal actions, and physical and mental health issues, he is not able to enjoy his numerous XPOTUS perks. This appears to be only real way he'll pay for crimes.

Conman Trump is going to get away with behaving like King Trump.

Let's hope litigation breaks him fiscally, mentally, and physically.

Suppose he loses his real estate "empire" to loan defaults, tax evasion charges, fraud charges, etc. How long would his $180M to $220M last?

We can also hope that his many of his XPOTUS perks are removed (yeah, right, uh huh).

This question is based on Conman NOT being able to dip into his leftover campaign and election challenges funds.

Trump pollster's campaign autopsy paints damning picture of defeat — POLITICO

    Uhh, no shit.
    Ya think???

    Untrustworthy?
    Poor pandemic response?

Could have had done any worse?
    He certainly tried....

If it was any more obvious, it would have run ya over.

All I can say is, duuuhhh!!

Frankly, I still don’t know how anyone could vote for him.
    Even Republicans.
Heck, even racist or crazy people
    Anyone

    He was SO incompetent
He would throw anyone under the bus
He didn’t really care about anyone but himself
There was no reason other than believing lies.
(Not even good lies...like Swiss cheese fish story sized lies)

Why even consider such an uncaring fraud???

A good question here, better suited for the GOP thread:

Why do the Republicans in general, and US Senators specifically, continue to support Conman Trump?

I'm still waiting on the 2016 Democratic autopsy...

But, Trump did come pretty close to winning, even if he got 6 or 7 million fewer votes, it came down to 43,000 votes in 3 states.

Besides the fact that if he wasn't racist right from the start, and followed his Apprentice style entrepreneurship/small business/family farm type of governing, along with picking some qualified conservatives for key jobs, it wouldn't have been close. Especially if he acted like a real humble and embattled 'wartime' leader and started working for all Americans against the virus.

I firmly believe Conman's stubborn refusal 'to reverse a Trump decision' regarding covid-19 cost him the 2020 election. And that leaves me shocked that so many actually voted for him. Why did that many people want a dishonest, greedy, and obtuse Dictator King?
