    Phew. Three boxes packed on my end. Hubs got two boxes done. I got three boxes sorted out down to a half-box of stuff to keep. I found my childhood teddy bear, my class ring from my Bachelor's degree, and a pair of diamond earrings I thought I'd lost (they're tiny, tiny earrings).

    The DivX media player's streaming feature is pretty damn sleek and easy to set up as a media server. Unfortunately, my Wi-Fi sucks going from my iMac in the home office to the PS3 in the living room, making it virtually useless.

    It's not a software issue (re: streaming/media server software). I can't even properly stream on the PS3 directly from the Internet. Downloading software sometimes a problem too.

    Can I plug that Google Chromecast thingy to essentially override all Wi-Fi functions of the PS3? (i.e., Does it essentially replace the Wi-Fi hardware in the PS3?) That might be what I need. I never really thought of getting a USB Wi-Fi adapter for it. It would have to have better specs than the PS3's. [EDIT: Which I just found out is IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi.]

    3rd RULE: If someone says "stop," or gets confused, or tunes out, the conversation is over.
    4th RULE: Only two nerds to a conversation.
    5th RULE: One conversation at a time.
    6th RULE: No Coles Notes, no Wikipedia.
    7th RULE: Conversations will go on as long as they have to.
    8th RULE: If this is your first night at Book Club, you better have read the goddamn book!
