It's likely I will soon be on an Epic Quest in pursuit of the Perfect Homemade Loaf of Great Harvest's Apple Crunch bread. I ate half of the loaf we bought from GH in the name of research.

Bones marathon. Why did I not watch this show before?
But, I'm a little weirded out by people having told me I remind them of Emily Deschanel in this show.
I don't think I look like her... I'm really, really hoping they didn't think I'm a scientist with high-functioning Autism.
Although I do have a really hot Latin friend who studied art...

    Books, yes.

My academic book is being published on May 28. They say I should have copies by June 15, which seems a good day for a party.

Strangely enough (to me anyway) the publisher is already asking about a follow-up book.

Things appear to be happening. Maybe even at a post-glacial pace.

    coughing up a lung...ugh.
so much so, my head hurts.

    I hope it's gone by tomorrow...got a high-level meeting I've been waiting for a month for.
Don't want to ignore the CIO & CAO...don't want to get them sick either.
*sigh* It can never be easy, can it?

Well, at least I got my car side mirror fixed...fate's way of making me pay for a lunch date with a pretty lady.
And got the dent in my driver side quarter panel pulled out...put into my car 2 weeks after I bought it.
(storm brought down branch that lanced it while I was driving in it at night, at least it didn't lance me, like a final destination scene
...although I'm experienced with that too...it almost got me back then.)

    take the little victories.

but the reason that it's in this thread...it's all pointless isn't it?

Get your vitamin C and plenty of liquids. (I know it's mostly the placebo effect but my mom was had huge respect for Linus Pauling so she always gave us C when we got sick).
    Take care of yourself, man.

Well, I already do vitamins...and I'm always on liquids, I'm like a camel.
Taking typical cold medicine, Mucinex for the flem, Zicam to reduce the timeperiod, Cough Medicine, Cough Drops, Chicken Soup...Food, etc.

Doing Nothing, staying in, resting all weekend...I've had it since Wednesday, no energy then.
Thursday, was all sniffles sneezing and hacking...scared to death the new cube-mates. (No I couldn't take the day off)
Friday, was better...just a bit of coughing here & there...bad sleep though all night.
Sat & Sun, it went to my lungs...sound like the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Usually, I avoid these or fight them off...this one decided to hang on...give me a fight.
    Thanks for the cheer, sir.

    Mmmm... phlegm.
Mine's yellow. Green in the morning.
It's like that all the time, though, when things are pollening.

Impromptu nap attack yesterday in the afternoon left me with a migraine all evening and part of today.
The second tramadol, around 4am made me so sick to my stomach, sweaty, and shaky.
I'm fighting another nap... it's stalking me. Circling and nipping at my heels. :(
    Must. Resist...

The logjam I've been dealing with regarding my books? It's been transplanted to the publisher/designer. Oops.

  16. HA!

I had one of these growing up and I would like to acquire one for BabySquirrel. I think they did a reboot of them, calling them "classic toys" now. I believe I saw them at our local toy store along with some other "classic toys" that I had growing up.

Awwwe...I cried a little. Tell BabySquirrel to do this for me. ;-)

I always thought that @ponypotato resembles her. Both very pretty ladies. You're very pretty too, but I don't think you resemble Emily Deschanel. Some other pretty lady that i can't think of at the moment, but when i do...I will let you know.

I think I'm all caught up on PA. I don't check TFP on the weekends as I am busy playing with BabySquirrel. I check it at work when I have down time and no baby to cuddle. If I have down time while BabySquirrel is napping, I catch up on Bones and think about how much @ponypotato looks like Emily Deschanel.

I need to catch up on Bones too...I've got 5 episodes to watch.
But I've got to finish watching American Hustle first, I rented it on demand the other day, don't want to waste it.
Not sure if I like it yet.

But Bones should be quick in DVR time, skipping commercials, should take 3 hours.
(that is, unless I rewind and watch certain scenes over or in slo-mo...but Bones isn't like that usually)

Takes me forever to get through Game of Thrones...

I'm flattered that people think I look like her.. because I think she's quite purdy. :) I've been told I resemble her in personality at times, as well. I still have to catch up on Season 9 (I made it halfway through before school took over my entire life), as well as the Vampire Diaries (guilty pleasure).

Took my dog out to play in the wet grass.. played short-distance fetch with her squeaky to try to reduce her energy level slightly since she's kind of bouncing off the walls from doggie day camp withdrawal. I think she's a little emotionally unbalanced by me being home and me and K not being physically near each other at ALL anymore, but she is now busy trying to tear her squeaky toy apart, so she's at least mentally and physically occupied.

Anyone want to buy some furniture?
