And I beg to differ even more...because what was stated or noted and what was actually done are two different things.
And media also did not seek out or publish what may been otherwise.
We are finding more and more as it came out that people were just as lusty...or it was "considered" in different terms. (ex. doctors "curing" female hysteria)

Sexual mores flux through time and culture, sometimes it is publicly noted sometimes not.
Sometimes it is found by historians, sometimes it is not.

And when I say, "nothing new under the sun"...I'm not restricting it to current decades...but even over longer time arcs.

As demonstrated under Masters of Sex, people were doing is in many ways...it just wasn't advertised, it was undercover,
rationalized, justified, denied, twisted, etc...
And there were different sectors of society...just because Elite White Puritans weren't doing it that back in the 1955,
doesn't mean other portions less "well thought of" weren't.

Those whorehouses didn't just fill themselves.
Nor do I doubt they stuck to just the "basics"

Nor do I believe that all couples stuck to just that either in their own home...it just wasn't put out there.

Or re-discovered it...because it existed throughout the ages beforehand.

Well, this is true...and I would understand why something like anal sex would be considered unhealthy in the past.
They didn't have the standards or technology to resolve certain things that would be related to that portion of the body.
Or even if completely heathy...there would be a relational mindset easily put in place, since it is the source of solid waste products.
Even more "apparent" than the liquid waste product coming from the penis/vagina.

In addition, it has nothing to do with the reproductive capacity which was emphasized by many including authority figures.
So the onus would be to setup "rules" or stories that emphasize avoiding it...if not making it an outright sin.

But, like I stated, it didn't just come from nowhere, there have been many indications of the past, both positive and negative context.
Ancient Greeks, Sodom & Gomorrah, and so on...
I'm sure the caveman to thousands of years on up to where the social rules were put in place to avoid it
...those horny souls were sticking it in, where-ever it felt good.
And women unfortunately, didn't have as much to "say" about it back then, whether they liked it or not...or wanted it or not.
But I guess, if they liked it, then it would be encouraged.

I'd be interested to see what dynamics are in place in our more isolated tribes currently out there, like in the Amazon and such.
Sociologists may or may not have already asked a question like this.

A good followup poll would be...

1. Do you have a preference of vaginal, oral vs. anal, either/or, or all of the above.
2. Do you go out of your way for anal...or does it just "happen" by experimentation & spontaneity
3. In an anal context...phallic, digital, toy and/or oral (with preference)
   1. In anal activity, if done...giving, receiving or both.
4. In anal desires, if there - real or media or both (with preference)

And if I was honest I'd say

• All the above, in order of preference...oral, vaginal, then anal
• Mostly by experimentation & spontaneity
• Combining 3 & 3.1 and order of preference - Oral (both), Phallic (giving), Toy (giving), Digital (giving)
• Both, Media preferred.
