Well, I stock things that make history.

Is it really all your house? Are you single? The second a woman moves in, it becomes a shared project. I may pay the mortgage, but she cleans and cooks and tends to it while I'm at work. It's hardly a solo project.

If ownership was based on time spent in a residence, she'd have me beat by a rather large margin. She actually lives here... I just visit.

Maybe if I had a tiny house and I lived on a farm with outbuildings. But I don't. This is a different universe. And I'm all about convenience. I go walk down a few flights of climate-controlled stairs in my underwear and gleefully browse my work bench, my horror punk music collection, my firearms, my archive of '80s action moves and my other non-Better Homes and Gardens accoutrements.

It's going to be a goddamn living museum to testosterone, just you fuckers watch and learn.

It's the one room in the house where I can set something down and it will still be there 20 min later.

 

So I went through the chick fila drive thru in my patrol car just now. The person in front of me paid for my meal while I was in line. That was a nice touch, and I felt really bad about stopping him for expired registration a minute later. I'm kidding about that part. I was able to give him a wave before he left the parking lot and saw him acknowledge it.

"The Interview" sucked such huge donkey dick that the whole world had to be convinced of some bizarre conspiracy to get people to actually watch it. Fucking waste of $6 and two hours of my life.

 

There's nothing good on TV. My usual Xmas depression is kicking in big time. Tomorrow will suck for reasons that I won't go into. Merry fucking Christmas to me.

I have a now laptop! Not sure I like this Windows 8 but then I wasn't thrilled when they went from MSDOS to Windows either so? I will say it boots much faster and I have yet to be told "can not open that server when" when attempting to log onto TFP.

On another subject I have to tell my other half at least some of the parties we have for our group of friends have to be held at house other than ours. Last nights party went way past dawn. That was fun 15 years ago. Last nights Christmas party ended at 0930 today. I've been asleep off and on all day. About ready to hit my rack for the night anytime now.

 

We went to see "The Imitation Game" (the film about Alan Turing) at a local movie theater this afternoon.

Of course, I already knew the whole story. Still, I cried.

 

In this situation I would upgrade to Windows 7 Premium (not the home edition) and dualboot with Ubuntu .

 

We're going to Space Center Houston today. I'm actually looking forward to it because the last time we were there we ran out of time. I'm going to concentrate on what I missed last time, my wife is going spend a lot of time on the educational section. Hopefully SIL & NIL will do their own thing.

 

Never again will I go to Space Center Houston on 1) a weekend day and/or 2) a holiday day.
