Sharknado 2 is even better than the first one. This piece of s......"work" knows it is a z grade film and plays that role brilliantly. This is worthy of a $5 or less bargain bin purchase.

I am watching this Halo 4 live action film, and it not bad as an introducti0n to the Halo series. Now I am curious enough to try playing the first game; fortunately it is available for PC. The "outdated graphics" mentioned in the Amazon comments looked fine to me in the screencaps that were on there, but I think that people are spoiled these days. I still think my PS3 has cutting edge graphics personally.

Halo graphics are not outdated for a ten year old game. It's still my favorite out of the series. You will definitely see some elements of the movie aliens in the game as well. I heartily recommend it, and I like the story and the play.

Binge watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
There's a lot of bro-love and brologue you don't notice when you've got years between the movies. Watch them over the course of a few days, and it's seriously noticeable.

I play Command & Conquer games from 2001-03 still and cannot even install the newer games on my PC with the minimum specs these days, so the PS3 does look bleeding edge to me.
From what I have seen of it, they optimised it for touchscreens/tablets/etc. Personally I hate the Xbox look/interface, and have to banish it instantly as deeply as possible to make Win 8 anywhere near usable for me. It is a decent OS once you restore the win2k/win 7 desktop as the only real option and install a proper start button, but I am just getting the upgrade to Win 7 if I buy another laptop. Leaning toward a Macintosh when the money is available; that could dualboot linux just as easily and runs all of the Adobe CC stuff I use.

The article I glanced through on wikipedia tells me this Forward Unto Dawn is a prequel of sorts. Nice character development and good action scenes.
Not finished watching it so some of these points may be answered in the roughly 30 minutes I have left.
    > These ODST things sound like clones or near clones of the drop devices Heinlein used in Starship Troopers (the excellent book, not the awful movies that butchered the good parts and completely mangled what they did keep)
    > These ships that just appeared in the sky look interesting. Watching this with a next to nothing base of knowledge about the Covenant thing or details like the ODST just makes this better I think.
Ooh, personal cloaking devices and oversized light sabers. Nice touch. Must make them nasty to fight in close combat.

I am deciding if I want to spend new year's day sitting in the cold in a baseball stadium watching an outdoor NHL hockey game.

    Probably not.

But National's Park is getting ready!

It does look very cool but early forecasts are calling for 30-35 degrees at game time. I might watch from a classic capitol hill bar instead.

I realized, in checking my order status, that I've spent far too much money at Ulta this year. Platinum and beyond, baby.

  18. Things I learned about myself today:

    1. Since it has been 15 years since my last math class.....I am an idiot when it comes to math.
    2. I look pretty stunning in coral. That leads me to believe that I don't really need math since I'm pretty. Feminism be damned.
