    Squatted Sunday
Warmed up with 10 sets of 5 with 135# box squats
Regular squats went like this 135 185 225 275 315 x5 reps. Felt pretty strong and squatted nice and deep, which is the effect I was looking for with the high rep body squat to box squat transition. Next time will try more weights as 315 was light, but I wanted to make sure I didn't go too fast.

Now, if I can just keep up the extended warmup sessions before lifting. Maybe I can keep lifting a while longer

Gym schedule is off a little with Thanksgiving. Did 3 miles on Sunday before our big family meal. Should've lifted last night, but I was feeling blah, so I went to bed early instead (which was lovely.) Running tonight, weights tomorrow, then Eden & I will hit the outdoor track on Thursday, since the gym is closed.

In other news, I'm officially 42 pounds down. My Holiday Challenge is going well, and really keeping me on track. I'm considering taking up the Strong Curves program after cutting a bit more.

I just think if you possibly a close friend to my bf you can go together in Gym so that fucking fatty belly you have will lose a week after. To think having a workout for 3 hours daily on't lose your weight? Not that bad to be tired enough though it helps your health glow dear.

Today might have been the first real day I looked in the mirror and liked what I saw. For someone that has hated themselves for... well forever, this was an awesome feeling.

I felt good and today was a good lifting day. I started 5-3-1 and Boring but Big this week, so far so good. I like getting out of the gym in an hour and not over 1.5 hours.

    I got my new 3MRs:
    Bench - 120#
Deadlifts - 145# (I have deadlifted more, but my form was off, so I lowered it)
    Military Press - 75#
    Squat - 200#

I'm proud of the 200# squat. Made me feel good.

Threw those into a 5-3-1 spreadsheet and started on it this week. I feel really good about this and can't wait to start really pushing iron around.

I decided to quit Martial Arts and focus on lifting. I'm going for 6 days a week, 4 for 5-3-1 and two days doing... something. Maybe Core? Resistance training? Might just try random things until something sticks.

I am practicing Kendo quite a bit these days. I am going to grade for sho-dan (black belt) in a couple week's time.

After practice on Monday, I could barely lift my arms. I am back to it tonight and this is the advanced class. I am working on being lighter.

I think I realized why I like lifting so much. I don't think when I lift. The only time I think is in-between sets and that's about the weight on the next set. I realized today I didn't think about work or anything else for an hour and half at the gym.

I also realized I hadn't had a single panic attack the entire time I'm in the gym. If I could live there, I would.

    Lifting weights is my meditation.

Still working out, more lifting, less cardio. I have a new job so I have new hours and a schedule. The good thing is I am on my feet more and moving around more compared to my old job. But I can't get distracted and let the exercise fall off, as I so easily do. I have made some good progress and I am feeling pretty good.

Been under the weather this week, and have been in bed by 7:00 every night. I have a 5k tomorrow, and I haven't gone for a run since LAST Tuesday (and haven't worked out at all since Sunday.)

I talked Eden into running this year, and he is going to totally kick my ass.

This thoughtful sentiment is not dissimilar to mine whenever I'm in the middle of a kicking or kneeing gauntlet drill during Muay Thai class.

Though I'm not sure if you have people shouting at you at the time.

My husband shouted. A lot. I was trying not to black-out or puke so I couldn't yell at him to shut up.

Yeah, we're always too busy sucking the air out of the dojang to say anything back.

Off to the Running of the Elves 5k in a bit! Not expecting to do very well, to be honest, but kinda hoping Eden places in our age group. My original goal was to break 40 minutes, but the way this week has gone, I'll just be happy to finish

I broke 40 minutes! Definitely felt every second that I didn't run this week, but it was still pretty awesome. Scouting out some January/February races so I can see what happens when I'm at 100%. Major thanks to Eden for coming back to me and keeping me going when I was super frustrated towards the end :)

Depending on how the next race goes, my next goal is to hit under 35 minutes. When I can hit 29 minutes, I'm going to try a 10k (and I'm also going to keep trying to get faster, because I WANT A MEDAL, damn it. Doesn't have to be overall, placing in my age group would be just fine.)

Also can't wait to hit the gym. This past week, I came home from work and pretty much went straight to bed every night.

My cardio has completely fallen off the wayside. I am just not doing it and using the excuse that I don't have as much time. Oh well, I'm still lifting at least. I think in the grand scheme of health, lifting weights is more important. But doing both weights and cardio pulls the fat off more easily for me. And that's something I should be focusing on, not just my lifting. But st least I'm doing something. Though I did go Friday Saturday Sunday before working out today.

Today was squat day. Did some general warmup, some box squats then did sets of 5 with 135 185 225 275 315 365 and 405 on regular squats. Felt solid. Followed that up with 10 sets of light(ish) romanian deadlifts.

I'm sort of beat now, but feel good about it.
