I guess that my point was that "the educated boys and girls" are not always right, and their science cannot always be trusted. They can be wrong, they can be influenced, they can be bought with professorships and grants.

The "food industry" is multi-faceted, not monolithic. There is great competition within the industry for market share and who gets to carve up the pie. Witness the demonization of sat-fat and meat by the value adding (read higher profit) processed food corporations, which dwarf the meat industry.

Well, there's tits and there's tits, and all tits are certainly not created equal.:D

Mine, though never used for nature's prime purpose, were great moneymakers.:) Ah, the good old days, when my genes, youth, and nature's generosity made my tits special and guys in titty-bars on the plains and midwest filled my g-strings and shoeboxes with underground economy ca$h.

But that was when I was in my mid-twenties, and my last paid stripping gig was in the winter of 2003. Dancing is a young girl's game. There's not much demand for 39 year old dancers, no matter how well preserved their body (like some kind of pickle) and nice their tits.:(

Perhaps in the old Germanic sense meaning grand, large, magnificent, or impressive.;)

Isn't there a thread on 'tits' somewhere?

My old domain name, that I gave up a long time ago, (34dgirl.com) is available. Why hasn't someone picked this up? It would be a great domain for a titty porn site.

@omega, you would have loved (not) my former neighbors who were pro-religion (as long they were able to twist it suit their needs), anti-government, & anti-medical establishment. They sometimes ranted for hours about childhood vacinations; they had to be forced to get their children immunized.

This is the same couple who nearly killed one of their sons because they relied on prayer to heal him, no medical care until it was nearly too late. It turns out he had meningitis, which could've been treated if he had received proper medical care early enough. He lived; he is going to spend the rest of his life with the mind of a one year old.

I have only been to "gentlemens clubs" about 3-4 times. The last time was about 20 years ago (I'm now in my mid 50s). The majority of the girls (intentional) were so young I wondered if they were actual "legal," and I felt like some kind of dirty old man.

When I was dancing, in the state of Iowa, due to a loophole in the law, since changed, I'm sure, there was no age requirement for a bar employee who did not actually handle alcohol. So that could apply to a dishwasher, cook, bookkeeper, musician, etc... or dancer.
I worked with quite a few "hot" underage, but not illegal dancers in Iowa. Most of them though were "early developers" not Lolita types.
I do remember a few "dirty old men" in the titty bars, out to see some "young stuff." But it was mostly guys twenties to mid-thirties. Also more girls in the audience than you would think. Especially for amateur nights.

The women on amateur nights doesn't surprise me. Quite a few of the women I've known over the years were intrigued by the idea of stripping in front of an audience. My wife, back "a few years" ago, would've enjoyed doing so.

Sometimes we just have to do things to get the memory of it out of our minds...nothing bad, just to continue moving forward without things lingering.

There is a townhouse (townhome?) tri-plex behind our house. They had a waste water line stoppage sometime last week, and someone removed the cap on the access line. I don't know if they attempted to unclog the line, or simply removed the cap so that the nasty water didn't back-up into the sinks, toilets, showers, etc. in the townhouses. They left it off, and by Friday afternoon we had nasty water pooling up in our yard, and part of it was along the back our house, about 2.5 feet from our house.

I walked over to the townhouses and eventually left my name & number with one of the residents. He would only give the owner's last name (I could gotten nasty and mentioned the very strong odor of marijuana coming from his house, but didn't). I also called in a 311 report to the city of Houston.

About 45 minutes later I see a guy back there working on the line. Note--By this time I'd found the owner's full name, address (she lives on the same short street as the townhouses), and phone number. I walked over to speak with him as he was snaking the drain. He wasn't rude, but he wasn't friendly and never introduced himself. The owner eventually showed up and got a bit huffy when I asked if she was her Firstname MI Lastname. "I'm Mrs. Herlastname. Who are you?" "In that case, I'm Mr. My First & Last Name."

The guy eventually cleared the clog, and our little GTG broke-up. Not 20 minutes later I get a call from a city inspector who had just arrived, who needed to know just where the problem was. I walked over, showed her, & explained that someone had snaked the pipe and cleared the clog. I did make sure she saw the extent of how far the waste water had gone.

One interesting thing we both saw--The cap was NOT screwed back on the access pipe. Was this a simple oversight, or was it intentional just in case the pipe clogged again? You can guess what I suspect. The city inspector did screw the cap back on, but only a couple of turns (it was slimy with sewage).

Another thing. The first time I walked back there boards had already been placed near the access line, which tells me someone had been working on the line, and ended up leaving the access line open intentionally.

As it stands now, the line seems OK. If there is a problem, I'm to call it it to 311 and also give them the previous incident number. Now that things have dried up, I'm tempted to walk back there and make damn sure that access line cap is very thoroughly screwed in.

I'm seriously pissed off at the local community college right now. They have no one on staff who can handle J1 visas. So my exchange student can't take any courses with her peers.

Crazy Neighbor is on the phone screaming obscenities. She leaves her windows open, so I (and the whole neighborhood, I'd imagine) can hear most of it. I can't imagine talking to anyone like that, let alone my mother.

Seriously, I want to move so much.

Can you call in a noise complaint? I'd be frustrated as well.
Though this does remind me to keep my windows closed when dealing with a fussy kiddo so my neighbors don't have to hear the noise.

I'll take "Crazy Neighbor screaming obscenities on the phone" over neighbors who complain about our dogs but won't make any effort to repair their fence, and the neighbors who remove the cap on the sewage access line when their line gets clogged.

Probably. But I've never called the cops on her yet in...five? years of living here. Even though there are several times we probably should have. **

It gets a little...touchy, because she upsets the dogs. She yells, they bark, she yells more, they bark more. I've worked with them to keep the barking to a minimum, because I don't want the other neighbors to complain (there's a dog behind us that barks almost constantly. The cops have been called at least once, and they thought it was our dogs barking. Luckily, the dogs and I were in Ohio when that happened. Edited to add: it was different neighbors who complained, and one of the dudes came over and apologized and said our dogs were cool. So that was nice. They moved, though.)

Anyway, it really comes down to not engaging her in any way, because I absolutely believe she would retaliate, and I'm afraid it would be in the form of hurting the dogs. She is definitely not mentally stable, and I suspect drugs are involved as well. If I had solid proof of that, I definitely would call the cops, but I don't. And even though other neighbors of ours have called the police on her, nothing ever seems to happen anyway. Recent example: most of you know the story of how we got Leia. Crazy Neighbor has four counts of animal cruelty from that little adventure. She is not supposed to own animals. She has two cats and possibly a dog. A random lady and her daughter were walking by a few weeks ago, and one of the cats was stuck or something, and crying. I happened to pull in shortly before an officer arrived, and they asked me who lived there. I gave them her name, and mentioned she had animal cruelty charges. The officer roller her eyes at me, but called into the station. I left after that, but as far as I know, nothing happened. I still see one of the cats in the window occasionally.

**(She's the reason I have the Conover Police in my phone, now that I think about it. She got into a knock-down-drag-out-screaming-break-stuff fight with her boyfriend (?) at the time, and I seriously thought she killed him. As I was dialing, they started having really loud sex.)

This is actually pretty much par for the course, and pretty tame, relatively speaking. I don't want to get into a pissing contest here, but believe me, she's awful.

Also, I posted that, what, 45 minutes ago? She's still going.
