Squatted the same as last time,up to a set of 8 with 405, which was hard, and benched up to working sets: 275x10 320x7 275x11

Did other stuff, but that was the heavy lifting. Now to stretch and moan a while.

Gotten back in the gym finally.
Now that I'll be working remote...I'll be able to really get into it.
And not be affected by the commute...logistically or energy-wise. (or even dinner-wise)

Bench last night was good top sets of 285x10 325x7 275x13. Elbow was hurting Saturday, so I skipped until last night and the rest seemed to have done me good. I think the cardio I've been doing is hurting my back and hips. I guess I need to find some kind of cardio that my old self can consistently do...

Was going to go lighter and higher volume on squats but there were a bunch of people in the gym last night so I had to go alpha male. Worked up to 2 sets of 365x3 before dropping back to 275 for a couple high reps sets. Then did a bunch of other shit so my legs hurt today.

Back on again...and working on the fitness.
Helps to have the stress of having this job almost over and finding another done.

Plus I want to look good for my date. ("just in case...")

Finally got back down below 260...try to get back to the 240 I was at last Summer. (that would be me at 15% body fat...now it's 20%)
Went for a long walk today...but feeling like crap.
Maybe I've exhausted myself from work. (the political pressure is off...but I'm doing tons of knowledge transfer, training people and wrapping up loose ends)

Want to get the momentum again.
Man, Mother Nature can be a pain...

Finally went to the gym this evening.
Got rid of that damned lingering cold.

I hope I can do it daily now, with the new remote gig.

Squatted 435 for 5 last night. Felt solid after a weeks vacation in Charleston. Let's see how benching goes tomorrow night. Before vacation I benched 345 for 5, I'm hoping 350 goes up like that.

Lost 20lbs and my cholesterol levels are no longer borderline issues. I can't say I'm exercising more but I'm eating healthier and smaller portions.

My body was loan from 2014 until early 2016 (2 kids in quick succession) it's only been the 4th quarter of 2016 that I've felt like a normal human being again. I followed the Brazilian Butt work out after my 1st baby (c-section) and that got me back into shape in 10 weeks until I got pregnant with my second...had the 2nd (c-section again) rough recovery this go around...I followed the 21 Day fix and am back to my pre-baby size. I consider myself lucky considering what I've been through..but I also chalk a lot of it down to the fact that I was actively working out all the way up until I got pregnant with my first and have worked through the exhaustion to continue after I had the kids.

I seriously need to get inspired to move. Anyone else have issues trying to stay healthy during a stint of unemployment?

Signed up for another weight loss challenge, for the first time in over a year. Between attending a beach wedding in June, going to the lake in July, being IN a wedding in September, and invitations for swimming with work friends...yeah, I'm reading to kick this into high gear.

Now to remember to buy a battery for the scale.

I see all these guys with a little bit of upper body development and tiny little legs and calves. They will do 15 sets of chest and 10 sets of triceps and maybe do 3 wimpy sets of calves. You need to up your volume or continue to look like you have polio. And no, running doesn't build real leg muscle.

Benched 350 for five tonight. Very solid reps. I am happy.

Been squatting heavier lately, but due to me being built like a bulldog/gorilla, my legs always seem small in comparison to my upperbody. Big belly doesn't help.

Due to heel issues I can't work calves, but I miss doing so.

I'm going nuts...I hope the doc givs an OK on my thumb.
I want to get back into the gym and other sports.

Walking running only interests me so much.
I need to be simulated, engaged.

Working to lose the four pounds I gained on the recent roadtrip. Walked about a mile each of the last four days (indoors, it was raining outside) and did some rowing and pulls. And watching my diet.

Squatted last night. Felt pretty good but at my heaviest set (435) the bar started to move down my back so I had to end it at two reps. Felt plenty strong for five, but I've learned not to ignore bar placement. My back thanks me.

On a side note, there's an old dude that keeps interrupting me while I'm working out. I think he's in love or something. He talks about the women in the gym, quite misogynistically, I might add. I've got not time for the negativity. I don't understand, if I have my damned earphones in, it means I don't want the interruptions. I don't go to the gym to socialize.
