The example I love to use:
    "I still haven't found what I was looking for." [JICYDK that's a reference to a U2 song]
I still haven't found that for which I was looking.

Jimi Hendrix faked his own death and became Morgan Freeman.

Jimi Hendrix "died" in 1970. Morgan Freeman appeared in 1971. Both were in the military when younger.[IMG]

The Luddite/smart phone discussion reminded me of the Palm Pilot I had BSP (before smart phones).

I never actually had one, but I do remember people talking on their flip phones while entering info on their PDAs. Actually somewhere in my deceased FIL's possessions there is a PDA.

    I love those Hendrix-didn't-die stories.

Everybody knows Hendrix, Joplin, & Morrison (under new identities of course) started and still operate an organic herb farm in a remote area of Alaska. :p

Rap & hip-hop ain't my thing, but I do have a story re Tupac's death. Very shortly after his death I made a Twopack Charmin joke at work, which I should not have. One of the black guys I worked with called me on it, and I apologized. He was Tupac fan, was upset over his death, and explained the man's music from a perspective that I didn't have. It didn't damage our friendship because he understood why I didn't "get" rap given my age, background, and skin color, and I understood why it meant something to young people, blacks in particular.

I wish I knew why I won't stop watching movies/tv that I seen before. I really need to watch all the new stuff I have on my plex server.

Dude, I'm so with you on that!
How many times must I rewatch Night of the Comet or Just One of the Guys, before I force myself to watch Philadelphia or Schindler's List?
I forced myself to watch The Pianist and Passion of the Christ, I don't know why those other ones are so off-putting.
Braveheart was hard to get to, too, but after about 15 years, I finally watched it.
I have unwatched stuff on my dvr that's older than my youngest nephew, and he started Kindergarten last year!

    Ugh! I need a clone.

I also watch movies several times, especially epic adventure themes. The Hobbit and all that followed for example. Because I always see something I missed or miss understood. Also I am amazed by the creativity of the human mind.

You ever notice how when someone starts spouting bible verses it usually means that someone is lying, about to screw someone over, or about to justify some awful behavior?

Well, I learned from my bank this morning that if I don't leave any money in my checking account for more than 48 hrs., it closes the account until I put more funds in there.
My SSI direct deposit was supposed to come through this morning, but it will be 24 hrs. before I'll have access to it.
Breathed a sigh of relief to know my shit wasn't highjacked.
