That first time your heartbeat and/or libido perk up, skin feels tingly, or you're suddenly at a loss for words around a person can be pretty powerful. Were your 1st crushes the on person next door, a celebrity on television, someone you glimpsed walking by, or something entirely different? Just curious. :)

Probably not a first, but the one that burns into my brain was a high school english teacher, and man, she was hot. That was back before your teacher would have sex with you, though.... (unless your teacher was a priest & you were an altar boy).

But I learned shakespeare so I could get in her panties.... I never got in her panties, but I still have the love of literature & poetry. And that has gotten me into other panties...

But I still think about her, every so often.

We moved every few months when i was a girl. Had just moved to small town and a lovely girl talked to me because she liked my red hair. I liked EVERY little thing about her but especially her laugh! We became friends but I was so shy around her. She invited me to spend the night at her farm. We rode her bus home together and ran around like wild things. This girl was pure sunshine! We rode horses, fed the goats, and just had a silly good time. That night when she kissed me I thought my heart was going to pound right out and fall on our feet. Best sleepover ever. <3
Next crushes were Madonna, Vincent Price, Rod Serling, and Christian Slater.

My first crush was the new girl in 8th grade, she sat next to me in quite a few classes and talked to me constantly. She was a beauty, but every guy in 8th grade was in love with her and realistically I had zero chance. Naturally, one of the popular guys caught her attention and they were an item well into high school. It made me bitter for the rest of 8th grade, but I got over her.

My next crush was when I was 19- actress Stacey Travis in the 1990 sci-fi horror movie Hardware:

I could never get her out of my head. As an adult I collected every picture I could find and made a thread devoted to her on another board (all in good taste, I assure you) and amazingly, in 2009 she heard about it- and gave me an autographed picture of herself!

You understand, after an experience like that I'm never going to get over this crush.

    Consider me permanently smitten. ;)

I can't remember my first. I've been crushing on people since I was very young. Even as young as 5, I was teased about my interactions with the opposite sex.

That said, I do remember a rather prominent crush I had when I was about 14 or 15. It was Marla Bloodstone, the sassy redhead from the rather bad sequel to Gremlins. I think it was the first instance when I realized I had a thing for bold/forward ("alpha female") women, especially in a position of power (Marla is Billy's superior). Also, it was when I formulated my love of redheads (especially curly-haired redheads in thick glasses, OMG....).

This would eventually be rediscovered in other characters such as Christabella Andreoli in Devil's Advocate (another curly-haired redhead). It would also continue with Lola from Run Lola Run.

The redhead thing would come to its peak with the arrival of Saffron on the ill-fated series Firefly.

So I guess my response to this thread is this: My first "crush thread" began with redheads.

Don't get me wrong, though. I ultimately prefer brunettes. :D

  8. I KNEW IT! That's why you love it so much when I emasculate you.

    Damn right you do.

I don't remember too many crushes. I was sort of a late bloomer when it came to amore. I never truly obsessed over boys and think I only liked them so I would have something to talk about with my girlfriends.

Friend: I have a crush on So and So. Do YOU like any boys?
Me: Huh? Sure I like all kinds of boys.
Friend: But which one do you LOVE? Like I LOVE so and so.
Me: Uhhh.....(Scans brain for random name of a boy) Random Boys name? I like really like Random Boy. He's so cool or whatever.
Friend: Really? Ok. I guess he's ok. He's no So and So. So and So is so amazing when it comes to stuff and things.
Me: Sure. Totally. The stuff and the things.

I still for the most part think boys are dumb. The only reason DaddySquirrel and I worked out so well is because, well, he just doesn't give a fuck about most things and I like that.

The only boy that really comes to mind was the friend of Cinn's boyfriend. I didn't obsess over him so much as pine over not having to split time with my BFF so much. If I dated his BFF, then double dates or whatever. It really wasn't until my junior or senior year of high school when I started dating people.

My HS Boyfriend Dave, who is now a fucking crazy survivalist dickhead, ended up at our high school our senior year. He went to a catholic school prior to that. I remember meeting him before he started coming to our school. He lived in the district and friends of mine knew him. I remember liking him when I first met him and would look for him at track meets when we were up against the catholic school. That's the only time I ever really thought of him. When he ended up at my HS, we ended up together. I don't really remember the specifics of how we got together. Don't remember a first kiss at all. I just remember the night when we "almost had sex." Long story short he weirded me out, so I broke up with him. Definitely dodged a bullet there. Probably literally since he's crazy.

Other than that, I seriously can't think of any boys names who I scrawled all over my trapper keeper. That may be because I don't remember a lot of things with my crazy, defective brain.

  18. How else am I going to get free Health Care?

I actually like you! I have a thank you card in my purse, but mailing something to Canada weirds me out. Do I need a special maple leaf stamp?

    Just like Trump!

"Calculate your postage rate using the international postage price calculator. For a first-class letter to Canada, the first ounce of postage costs 85 cents, a two-ounce letter costs $1.17 and a three-ounce letter costs $1.49"
Keep yr American medical marijuana shipment under an oz and you can hook me up with a Merkin 85¢ stamp.

  20. I have a bunch of international stamps because I mail stuff to Japan often....I just don't ever think of America's Hat as "international"
