Yep, I was sick. I've eaten three pieces of dry bread and a cheese toast in the last 30 hours, and slept most of it. Throat feels like I had a marathon makeout session with a xenomorph.

I follow the Gospel of Dave Ramsey pretty closely. Got me out of the financial hole my ex left me in with the divorce. And without selling any of my (mostly) Apple stock.

I love some Classical Christian music. Beethoven's Christ on the Mount of Olives. Mendelsohn's Reformation Symphony.

I can do without the Jee-zak music though.

Sounds like something I kinda had, except my throat glands were so swollen I couldn't swallow anything. Finally feeling better after 14 days.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

I'm travelling back to the US for business, three days of meetings in North Carolina and then they booked a flight to Chicago at 10:30pm for a meeting at freaking 8am. Fly back to London that evening at 7pm. hmm...wonder if that would leave me time to explore Chicago if I have the energy.

You could take the train and wander around downtown a bit. ORD security is a bitch, however.

This was definitely Jee-zak music. The kind that comes to be when a band can't make it elsewhere. To me, there is sacred music (such as Messiah), and there is Christian pop music. The former is fine. The latter goes against my interpretation of the Bible.

I have a nephew who is very much into contemporary Christian music. Yes, some of it is pretty lame, and some of it contains way too much 'praise.' With that said, some of it is quite good. The singers and musicians are talented, and the songwriting covers a range of topics.

Keep in mind the playlists on Christian radio are very much like the playlists for any genre of music. They usually include what is popular and sells well, not what is the better music.

I used to be friends with a regionally popular Christian rock act. I know some of them have talent. But it still makes me nauseous when people make money off of God.

Aaaaand now I've almost completely lost my voice. Which is great because I still have some important government office visits to do and classes start tomorrow.

The key is to loud whisper rather than trying to force the voice.
    I have a headache. It's really annoying.

The real key is to just stay dead silent for a solid week and let your vocal chords heal. Hopefully this doesn't turn into another bout of bronchitis like most head colds seem to for me.

Cannot with my job. I still have the headache. Now have tweaked wrist. Please do not let this be a flare up...

    Happy belated birthday, sir.
January is challenging, everyone is burnt out from the holidays
My own being often ignored since it’s so close.

May you get everything you wish for.

I know the feeling, it was my birthday when my wife told me she wanted a divorce. I gave it to her. Best birthday I ever had!

    Happy Birthday, Ralphie.

I don’t mind if someone puts they are experienced in something on there resume even if it is half true, but to grossly misrepresent oneself pisses me off to no end!
