A few moments ago I typoed a website address as .crom instead of .com. Then I wondered, why isn't .crom a thing?

If I had a few hundred grand to spare I might've considered it.

Well, it was cold, snowing, and windy this morning, so we decided to stay home. My BF made scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, dill, and cream cheese. Which we had on WASA crispbread with coffee, pineapple chunks, and grapes. Served in bed. I do not recommend eating crispbread in bed. Oh, well. After the fuck-a-thon the sheets were already a lost cause.

    Damn, I’m a geek
    And I’m also a nerd
But I’m also a serious “otherwise”...

So I guess there’s balance in the Force.

My contact at Home Depot Foundation was in town and invited me to dinner tonight.

I boldly went where I've never gone before...Trump International Hotel.

Please tell us your employer and/or client, not you, selected the hotel and paid for it. :D

    ------------------

About a week ago my wife found a tiny piece of glass in the pasta we cooked (it nearly cracked a tooth, and did cut her gum). The glass was light/med green in color...........just like the sealing container we use to store spaghetti after it's been opened. To make matters worse we found several chips that had gone undetected; that container is now in the recycling stash.

Edit: Damn it and me. This post was supposed to go in Not So Pointless Announcements.

    This is a pointless announcement.

The Astrodome has set empty for a couple of decades. After many lengthy discussions and some heated debates regarding its future, it's scheduled to be converted into an event center. I didn't want to see it demolished, but I also didn't want see my tax dollars going into a questionable business venture (I need to research the financing behind its conversion).

Final tours were on April 9th. I told myself to make plans to go (and I could also visit the Texans gift shop ;)), and then forgot . This kind of sucks because I toured the still under construction Astrodome back in 1964.

I had my hair colored a darker brown. Coincidentally, lost the grey hairs as well.:)

My deep pockets Republican buddy at HDF was in town to hype their recently announced $50 million jobs training program so it was all on him. I got dinner and the promise of a small contribution of sponsorship money for an event later this year.

I'm getting prepared for the annual Berkshire-Hathaway meeting in Omaha the end of next week. My old friend and investing mentor from Boston is coming to stay with us for a few days.

The guy is Gauthier Christian Destenay who is the husband of Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel.
He's hanging out with the first lady of France as spouses of leaders of countries are apt to do these days.

Mme Macron is 65 years old, 24 years older than her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron. I'm gratified that my BF is attracted to a hot 65 year old woman. I hope I'm that good looking at 65. Looking at my mom, I at least have a chance.

FWIW, the county I grew up in in Kansas is larger than the country of Luxembourg.

As I mentioned, I have had two cars stolen from my household the past month. So today we bought my girlfriend's daughter a 2008 nissan Altima with 152k miles. Seems like it's in decent mechanical shape. The interior is pretty grubby and gross, so I will be scrubbing that out tomorrow. The price was otherwise pretty good, reflecting that it will need new tires for the winter and there is already some mild to moderate hail damage. I am not so worried about cosmetics, I just want it to be reliable considering its mileage. It did come tinted, so that is a bonus.
