Movies I didn't understand!

So My Son, Kaleb, and I are watching
" Serphiam Falls" didn't understand the writing or directing.
I'm NOT a realist by any means, please take my mind away from reality!
But here, please be patient with me.
It's starring Liam Neesom and Pierce Brosnon! This movie must have been about the acting abilities of Mr. 007 himself!
I want to pick it apart!
1) why would a Union Colonial settle down in confederate territory?
2) Mr Brosnon and his solderiers burn alive this mans family and still leave him alive?
3) when his wife was upstairs in the fire, why didn't she just break the window and escape with her children?
4) Mr. Neeson hunted and caught Mr.Bosnon, just to some how allow him to escape
5) why was Mr. Brosnon running?
6) why did the knife falling from a tree limb penetrate a mans skull and kill his mind?
7) why invite the enemy into your camp, and not understand that you know there are 4 and you only see 3?
8) why? When all else is exhausted an indian man smoking a pipe makes it possible for the hunt to continue!
9) why? When all else is exhausted a witch woman and peddler makes it possible for the hunt to continue!
10) when all is done! Why does Mr.Bronson not know why and whom is hunting him! Your not going to recognize the face of a man that you and you soldiers burned to death the wife and 3children of that man! Come on!!!!!
11) from the winter mountains to the badlands of the parched desert you two just walk away!
Sadly no cast member should have been credited.
This movie, an all chase scene for two hours, only the acting of Mr. Brosnon
Allowed to save face!
