Now... can we finally put the winter sport of basketball away at least until the end of the World Series?

At least the Cavaliers kept the Warriors from going undefeated in the POs.

Unless the Astros can maintain their miracle season--cracks are showing--I'm holding out for pro football.

Time to bump this thread, the 2018 play-offs matchups are set.

The Rockets could take it all, if the regular season is anything to go by. They drew one of the weakest teams, the Timberwolves, a team they swept during the regular season.

The thing is the Rockets can't look ahead. It would behoove them to concentrate on eliminating the 'Wolves as quickly as possible. No pisssing around, get & keep the momentum going.

How about your favorite team(s)? Thoughts?

Aren't I quite the clairvoyant ? My christell ball was malfunctioning :p.

    ------------------------

The Rockets slept walk to a narrow win.
They woke up for a big win.
    Now they need stay awake.

I could live with being a two sports Championship city (Astros and Rockets).
While I'm dreaming....why not a three Championship city (Astros, Rockets, & Texans) ;)?
How about Astros, Rockets, Texans, and Astros again?

Damn, Rockets, you got the best first round matchup you could've hoped for. Neuter the 'Wolves and move on.

The first round have been the best in the last 10 years. Nice to see the Underdogs with some fight and not just getting swept.

    Woo hoo, Rockets!!

I have no idea which team, Jazz or Thunder, would make the best match (least resistance) for the Rockets.

And I must add, for some friends in San Antonio:

    Pppppffffffftttttt!!!

    Warriors vs Rockets.

Two teams with nearly identical records and stats.

Both took their playoff series 4-1 and 4-1.

    Bring it on!

    Damn!

Can the Warriors play any better?

Can the Rockets play any worse?

The Cavs have fought back to 2-2. I hope the Rockets will do the same.

Next season the NBA regular season is going to 143 games, the playoffs will be best of 11, and the championship will be best of 17. :p:p:p

It was close, but the Rockets got the W; 2-2 is better than 1-3.

You're all missing the big picture.

The Washington Capitals are in the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1998, after winning the Prince of Wales Trophy tonight for winning the Eastern Conference finals. A 4-0 shut out on the road in game seven.

    On to Vegas!

    Is there a NHL thread?

The Rockets started fast, but steadily faded on offense. I wonder if Paul will be available for game seven?
