Admit when you were wrong: tell us the story

I had to have my phone calls forwarded. Due to different phone companies and not having access to one of the lines this involved multiple calls to customer service and a great deal of frustration as I learned what could and could not be done. After several hours I was finally able to get things set up in an acceptable compromise. The customer service rep then explained what I had to do when I wanted to cancel the forwarding. I didn't hear her right and thought she was telling me how to set it up (using a method that I had previously explained was impossible in my situation). I lost it and yelled at her. She promptly explained, with some well-deserved attitude, that I had misheard her. Being wrong is always more memorable when you're angry and condescending.

Say what? RICE, baby, RICE--rest, ice, compression, elevation. I'm doing it right now with my knee. The doctor said I could use a compression bandage if I wanted. I have been. She said I could use ice if I wanted. I do. And I could elevate it too, if I thought it would help. Of course it helps. My knee feels much better than it otherwise would if it weren't for RICE. I think partially they're so reticent to wholeheartedly recommend RICE because a lot of people are incapable of following even the simplest of protocols, such as finishing an entire course of antibiotics.

Cop pulled me over the other week, had to admit I made a wrong turn (new area, state etc, its all messed up Yo).

Sometimes you just have to say you are wrong. It saves more face than trying to BS your way out of it. It also relieves stress, knowing that you are human and will make mistakes, and your friends know you arent too much of an ass to pretend otherwise.

I’ve been wrong many times in my life in fact it would be easier to tell you an instance where I was right. But one time that really stands out was my first true love a beautiful girl named Carolyn. She was head over heals in love with me but. I thought I could do better. I broke it off with her and have regretted it to this day. Carolyn was the love of my life and I didn’t even know it or failed to recognize it. If I could invent a time machine I would go back to that day and change that part of my history. I love you Carolyn.

I'm wrong at the end of a lot of days where I lose my temper with my kids. Not always losing the temper...but it's hard when I do. I feel wrong.
I was wrong pushing my husband to get the car 'fixed' to sell it...now it's not selling.
I was wrong for not focusing on my marriage's sex life enough this past year after I started worrying my husband would get bored and fool around.
    I am wrong a lot.

I was the most wrong in saying I would never have sex with another man. I did not mind using toys but always said no to males then one night at a store i started a conversation with three guys some how sex came up they were gay, I blurted out I was a bottom and as we walked out one of them said I did not look or act like a bottom I took him to my truck and said put your hand down the back of my pants, I had panties on. I didnt just come out i kicked the door down and had sex with all three that night.i have never been with three again but it was a good night and my wife got off to it.

My oldest daughter was about seven and my youngest was around two.
They were in the living room watching a Disney movie and I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready when I heard a horrible scream from the youngest.
I dash in there to find my oldest holding her finger at an odd angle and it was turning blue.
My reaction was wack my oldest on the butt, push her away, hold my youngest and try to figure out if her finger was broken or just sprained.
It turned out to okay, kids that age are amazingly flexible.

Turned out I had fucked up horribly.
My youngest had stuck her finger in the heat grate and got it stuck.
My oldest had managed to get it free just as I walked into the room.
I had just hit my kid for helping her sister.
    I felt awful.

Later that night, I sat down with her and apologized for being an asshole.
Said I was sorry for not asking what had happened and just making an assumption.
A few years back, she brought it up and said that none of her friends believed her.
That their parents had never apologized for being wrong, ever.

I'm always wrong even when I'm not I'm wrong LOL. I find myself apologizing for things when I'm not even in the wrong I think I do it just to stop the argument or the situation. Is that wrong yes I think it is.
