    Nice deer. Thats great that you both got nice ones on the same day.


    A friend of mine, his son got his first deer last week. He was happy and i was happy for him. It was a nice 8 point. Its a wall hanger. He was excited. and his dad could not be happier for him. he is 13

    i love to see kids in the woods.

    I had a friend that his daughter (she is (14) got her first deer yesterday.

    Personally that s just fucking awesome it was a big doe and she was ecstatic

    when i read this the other day i didnt respond because i was not sure..... So I called him and asked.


    He sent me a picture of her with blood all over her hands, blood marks under her eyes and she had the biggest smile ive ever seen on her. (sorry for no pic, i didnt ask if i could post it here, nor was i. his daughter, not mine im sure yall understand)

    so to answer the question she had no issue with it. seemed like she was having fun

    He's on the smaller side but last year we got shut out, and I had only a split second to decide on this one today, so I pulled the trigger.

    Congrats!

    Last year I wasn’t able to get out, and the year before I only got out half a day and was shut out. I was fortunate opening day this year in that I saw more deer in one day (18 total) than I’d ever seen in a single day hunting. It’s always good to see some action at least. I took a medium sized doe opening morning, so we will have some meat for the freezer this year.
