American photographer Michael Abramson is known for his work capturing the nightlife of several "gentlemen's" clubs in Chicago.
As in many high-class establishments of that time, closed erotic photo sessions were held here every month. Photographers were allowed, for an additional fee, to start photographing before the start of the show. The price of such pictures among connoisseurs of the genre at that time was incredibly high.
Once, filming with other photographers of the participants of this hot show, Michael Abramson noticed that photographing men constantly clicking the shutters of their cameras is no less interesting. The shots were gripping, funny, candid and - however that may be - food for thought.
This is also history. Hoxton mini press has released Michael Abramson's photographic book Men Photographing Women in the 1970s.
