Trump legal team seeks meeting with Garland as documents probe nears conclusion

The letter reads as though it was written by NP Trump, then toned down by his attorneys.

Is Team Orange attempting to go directly to Garland for a deal? Would they be stupid enough to openly admit guilt in return for some type of Off The Record wristslaps?

Didn't Team Orange insist on an independent investigation? Maybe they wanted Bill Barr in that role  :D.

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes sentenced to 18 years for seditious conspiracy in Jan. 6 attack - WTOP News

Now, this actually big...not only a significant amount of time for his activities
but it sets precedent for others following.

AND the guy was stupid enough to mention Trump by name in a statement to the judge, recorded in court at his sentencing.
Making it, in his opinion, that T is in the same mindset and inferring same activity. (noted in the article)

He might be delusional...but that doesn't look good at all for T.

And now that he's sentenced, other crimes can be acted and they may be able to extract info from him.
Especially, if T throws him under the bus...as he often does.

Big win for the DOJ and for helping keep the nation safe and on track as a democracy.
But they've got a long way to go and a lot to catch up on and still tons to untangle.

Trump lawyer said to have been waved off searching office for secret records — Guardian US

This rabbit hole is getting deeper and deeper…
    Most definitely obstruction

The question is, will they be able to get the big smelly cheese
Or will only the assistants go to jail like with the Nixon affair, Watergate.

The DOJ better hurry up, the bigger tricky dick is getting closer to the election.

T’s lawyers are telling him to be prepared for an indictment from the Feds.
But time is of the essence, T will do the usual deny and delay
Stirring up anger as if he’s being victimized
Who knows how the masses will respond

We were already stupid enough to elect him the first time, as a whole.
And to be frank, I don’t trust US, as a whole, not to do it again.

    * look what just happened in Turkey.

Old news, sort of, but I find it interesting that NPD Trump needed these instructions directly from a judge.

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/judge-lays-down-the-law-for-trump-in-hush-money-case

There's also a list of NPD Trump's previous tirades and intimidation efforts.

IMO the image of NPD Trump with the bat and Bragg's head should've landed him in contempt of court or even arrested. I wonder what would've happened if some violent drug dealer had posted the image?

I wonder if his incessant need to rave will be the straw that broke the camel’s back?
…the catalyst to get other things moving

…he gets contempt…and jailed, not just fined
And that triggers all the other charges against him to initiate and prosecute him.
Including precedent of getting thrown in jail.

It’s the way people’s heads work
They’ll hesitate until something shows that the target is vulnerable. Even if it’s legalistic.

I’m hoping the ball starts rolling more.
The civil rape case loss didn’t seem to do the trick.

And the judge setting the fraud case to NEXT year didn’t help matters.

    Cautiously optimistic.

I want NPD Trump nailed hard.

I also see many Anti-Trumpers getting excited over things that fall into the category of Possibly Incriminating.

Hopefully the recording is actually truly incriminating. And absolutely legal to use.

    Not surprised at all
    Totally predictable

He and his allies and supporters were really pushing everywhere.
Even WAY after the election, count or certifications.

    No shame, no respect
    just audacity and power mongering

    T is GUILTY no doubt
    Problem is he’s not alone.

They’d have to throw so many into prison it’s ridiculous.

This is like when there a whole segment of the population in a nation that is essentially rebelling and attempting to take over.

Really the only thing you can do then is going after the top players and associates.
    T and the gang(steers)

It makes the large group being prosecuted and tried for Jan 6th mob look small by comparison.
And unfortunately, each state would have to get involved.
    And proof.

With many conservatives resisting or assisting the whole way.

This is an incredible underlying mindset
Almost on the scale of the civil war.

There’s no way possible to go after everyone.
Easier to get the primary instigators.

T was the fool who wanted to be emperor.
And pushed to be one, like Napoleon.
Fortunately he’s not as smart as Napoleon.
But he’s audacious enough to go for it.

I won’t go Godwin and say he’s Hitler
But he is a tiny minded Napoleon
    Wanting to crown himself.

    And getting anyone to help.
Sympathizers, would be the best term.

    Trump lawyers visit Justice Department

    Who did they meet with?
For how long? Edit: Just under two hours.

The why is pretty clear: They're attempting to avoid, or at least soften, the forthcoming hammer strike.

Was some kind of deal struck? Are we going to see some type of symbolic but no facing of meaningful consequences deal done in the interest of "healing?"

It's now official, he has been indicted (per the NYT)
He's supposed to surrender himself on Tuesday.

The specifc charges and count isn't known yet
Trump Indicted: Trump Is Charged in Classified Documents Inquiry

This does NOT include the interference with the election, just the secret docs and obtruction.
and the former doesn't include the Georgia case
nor the other NY case that start next year.

He's got a cotton pickin' boat load...and he's raging unabashedly about it all.

At Mar-A-Lago the room housing the servers that hold the surveillance footage was flooded by an employee emptying a pool.

Exclusive: Mar-a-Lago pool flood raises suspicions among prosecutors in Trump classified documents case | CNN Politics

WTF?! NFW this was an accident. It sounds like a comedy where the crooks continue to do Really Stupid Things to cover the Really Stupid Things they've done.

Some of his minions need to face serious prison time, the same goes for the Secret Service criminals who deleted the text messages from Jan 05 & 06.
