EDC flat lay: what’s in your pockets?

There may be some overlap here with the Tilted Weapons forum.

Everyday Carry is a thing, wildly popular in certain corners of YouTube, Instagram, Discord, etc. For a while I followed the godfather of EDC’s YouTube channel until he got annoying, but before then I entered the following to be featured in his EDC Weekly, a show series dedicated to showcasing flat lay photos of his follower’s carries.

So, without further delay…

- Luminox Atacama Adventurer watch
- RoadID Elite 13mm badge and black rubber bracelet
- Andar Apollo wallet
- Spurcycle key clip in stainless steel; includes Rongbo quick release detachable pull apart key ring and Opret Titanium Mini pill fob
- iPhone XR in a Gear4 D30 phone case
- GiantMouse GMF1-FS with black leather sheath
- Benchmade 535BK-2 Bugout
- Zippo lighter in street chrome
- Kaweco AL Sport fountain pen
- William Painter The Hook polarized sunglasses
- Stanley Adventure Stainless Steel 8 oz flask in Hammertone Green

The photo above was the one I submitted (it wasn’t picked), though I took these two alternate shots as well:

And it’s got me wondering…

What’s in your pockets (or purse, satchel, fannypack, backpack, or other means of carrying stuff around with you wherever you go)?

Um.
Presently nothing.
What's in my purse is another matter entirely.

I had no idea that Stanley made flasks. I do not consume alcohol but such a holder would be useful for the saline tea concoctions that I consume.

Excellent point, genuinemommy … EDC is certainly not just for pockets alone, and I’ve edited my post accordingly.

I do love my Stanley flask. It’s pretty much bombproof, though the plastic hinged part that keeps the screw on cap attached to the flask snapped off a while ago. Doesn’t detract from its functionality beyond a heightened level of vigilance that I don’t loose the cap.

I actually have two different satchels, one is a Tumi model I've had for over 25 years, and the other is a WW2 gas mask bag that I've had for about 23 years (I replaced the strap recently, though)

What I carry in them varies wildly, depending on where I'm going.

A partial list:
- Spare change
- Pen & notepad
- Knife
- Water bottle
- Cameras & assorted related gear, like lenses & spare batteries
- Band-Aids & alcohol wipes
- Spare bootlaces
- Bullwhip
- Plastic cigarette lighter (I don't smoke, but you never know when you might need a fire source)
- Flashlight
- Spare keys

If the occasion is casual & close by, it'll be the Tumi bag with little in it. If it's a bit of a haul and out somewhere scenic, it's the military bag.

Mine is pretty basic, & boring, since I very rarely carry any kind of bag.

In my pockets...
Wallet.
Car keys.
Pocket knife.
Sometimes loose change.
Occasionally a small pistol in a holster (legal requirement) in my pocket.
Occasionally a spare magazine for the pistol on my belt.

Near my pockets...
Cell phone in a holster that I clip to my pocket.
Pistol in a holster on my belt.

I hope this works, my not very recent history with posting images here sucks.

Late edit...I'm don't know if I could get everything in one image.

I'm on a roll. No, I'm not.

Edit: Pocket carry semi-auto.

My military bag had developed some tears around where the strap attaches on both ends; I debated on whether or not I should get a new one. The thing is, I just replaced the strap and I figured all it needed was a sturdy repair job. I'm middling with a needle and thread, but one of my ties had started to come apart at the small end after a laundering (gee, maybe getting soaked in Lake Michigan had something to do with it?) so I took it to a local tailor shop I've used before.

They do good work, and quoted the repair job at $45. I realized I could get a new bag for about that price, but I did want to support a small business, not to mention the sentimentality factor for the bag. (It's literally been around the world with me)

So, I dropped the coin and let them have at it.

It was a good decision; I thought they were going to just sew up the rips; instead, they replaced the two damaged sections with new material!

It matches enough for me- I did tell them it didn't need to look pretty. Functionality is key here. :)

^

I won an auction for a small sort of brief case that would hold my tablet & a few small items.

There is nothing feminine about it (it's a great man purse), but I haven't yet worn it in public. Anybody familiar with my postings here [[Chris, do you actually think anyone here cares what you post?]] might wonder why I don't carry it.

Edit: Of course I deleted the images I had [why?], & the auction is too old to pull images.
