WTH was Allen thinking? He wasn't going to score, & wasn't going to make it to the sideline in time...so slide & protect the ball.

I can't believe the Bills defense kept them from losing,

then helped give the game away in OT.

    Congrats to the Broncos.

So many what ifs for the Bills.

    We got screwed in OT.
Cooks made the catch, the play was over, and they blew the call.
And how do they let the players play all game with almost no penalties called, then suddenly in OT everything is DPI?

But I can't get the play you're talking about out of my head.
Meaningless play, no chance of scoring.......and if he just kneels or slides we would have won the game cleanly without needing OT.
I'm never going to get over that.

If you're talking about the controversial pick...
I think Cooks didn’t have control,
the ball didn’t touch the ground,
    therefore the ball was live,
& the defender ended up with the live ball.
    Interception.

FWIW I try to look at calls as neutrally as possible, regardless of which team I'm rooting for or against. Back when I was a huge boxing fan I forced myself to see fights for what they were, not how the judges scored the fight.

But with the above said, that was a call that could've gone several ways.

The 49ers lived on the edge all season. That came to a brutal stop.

Looking at the remaining teams -- of course we have two elimination games today -- the Seahawks look like the next SB winner.

    Win, Texans, win!

    One quarter left.

Can Stroud stop playing like a clueless rookie?

The Patriots grabbed the Cinderella slipper, &
shoved it up the Texans ass.

    The Texans punt at around 4:45 -- a nearly impossible 4th & 18(?) -- said
    "We surrender."

Was slightly surprised that the Bills fired McDermott after that loss.

Mostly because my take on any firing of someone who did "fairly well" at head coaching, or any time teams decide to move on from a key player like a "pretty good" QB is "okay, is the replacement option clearly better?".

In this specific case, I see the argument for moving on, but there are also probably only a handful of guys who are BOTH capable of doing better, and readily available. If you fire a guy who did reasonably well, you better come in with a strong replacement. Harbough is off the board. Tomlin has said (iirc) he's taking a year off. Unless you can convince Tomlin to change his mind, and he also bring in a strong OC, what are you going to do to make the head coach position stronger? There are a few offensive minded guys out there who may be available (Kingsbury, McDaniel, Kubiak), but I don't love love any of them.

The job should be an attractive one for somebody. QB in place, small media market, new stadium, etc.

    I agree with you completely.
McD is a really good head coach.
I think Vrabel and Andy Reid are better but they're obviously not available.
So where do we go from here?

If he hadn't just signed with the NYG, I would've said bring in Harbough and one of the other guys I mentioned as the OC. Tomlin and a top OC would be my next pick, but we don't have indication yet that he's going to make himself available (he's said the opposite as far as coaching next year).

Not sure if there is any top dog in college wanting to make the jump?

    Harbaugh, sure.
Tomlin is an all time great but has been utterly stagnant in Pittsburgh for years. Why would that improve in Buffalo when he has the same issue advancing in the playoffs.

Not at all saying I’d have fired him for Tomlin. But, out of the guys seemingly somewhat available, I’d have him #2 for that job if one of the top offensive guys also came with him. An OC at the level of those I mentioned would be a key IMO. Most of having Tomlin that high is based on how intensely loyal his former players are to him. I think that, with Josh Allen as the team leader, could be a winning combo.

I doubt we will get to see it to know though. :D

Mike McCarthy? He couldn't get a deep PO run with talented cowgirls teams. Why will it be any different with the Steelers?

The Patriots are back in the SB.

    Shit.

    I'm happy for Vrabel...sort of.

    Congrats to the Seahawks!

I can see them winning big.
