I've been stuck trying to learn how to export a Dolby Atmos audio file, and haven't made any progress whatsoever on my projects. However, I've been messing around with AI and just for laughs, I modified a student film I appeared in back in 1992.

It was basically a retelling of the old short story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and we did a rather unspectacular car chase in it. This modified version I posted has some new AI-created elements- it's far from perfect, there are numerous inconsistencies, but on the whole it should amuse.

(I'm not posting the entire film, just the car chase sequence.)

    You're quite the badass.

    But we already knew that.

FWIW I had to open the link to get the clip to play.

Just for fun, I've been experimenting with face-swapping software. I briefly considered replacing an actor in one of my movies; it doesn't bother me to watch this person- I can be extremely clinical about certain things. But, I was thinking about it anyway simply because the individual in question was the ex-wife of my producer and I know he prefers to not mention the featurette she is in nor show it to anyone, despite that it's quite good. (My own opinion, of course.)

The software isn't quite there yet, although some of my test shots look nearly flawless. Still, if it's not going to look 100% on-target, it's not worth my time and money to do the whole thing.

The face I used was an AI simulation, and not any existing person's face. Any similarities to persons living or dead is coincidental. :D

On a side note, I refer to her as Jen Simm, as in "generated simulation."

Her eyes are noticeable different. But I tend to focus on eyes (  ).

"Jen" was not my first effort- I tried to craft a mixed-race woman and although the results were pleasant, her eyes aren't quite as magnetic as "Jen's."

I thought I had finished working on the visuals for the project I mentioned earlier in this thread (in the industry, we call it picture lock) but I ran across an anomaly that good ol' AI managed to screw up.

In the video, one of the protagonists has been captured and is about to take a blow to the face from the villain as he's held at gunpoint.

In the first image, the AI somehow erased his head completely. So I ran just that shot through the upscaling software through two separate engines (one choice is "precise" while the other is "creative")
and ended up with two different examples of nightmare fuel.

In the bottommost picture, I used a low-grade upscaler from a consumer website that does not employ AI. Although the result is grainy and doesn't match the overall quality of the rest of the video, I'm letting it slide as the shot is literally one second long. At least you can see clearly what is going on, even if it's not pristine.

I suppose I'll have to go through the video and watch the whole thing to catch any other possible errors.
