A thread for just about anything that isn't believable...or shouldn't be true.

Well, if we're starting with clothing, how about this:
    Tyrell Shirt by Magnoli Clothiers

It's a replica of one of the shirts worn by Harrison Ford in Blade Runner. I've been known to purchase screen-accurate items for Halloween and the like, but I'm positive I draw the line here.

I mean, that thing is hideous!

There are other shirts Ford wears in the film that are somewhat better, but man... whoever designed that shirt in particular must have been smokin' some good stuff!

Is that a shirt worn by Deckard, or worn by Eldon Tyrell? I honestly don't recall, but I wonder about the name of it. Maybe dodging a legal issue?

    Edit: $215.00 = No.

Ford wore it, but it was during the character's visit to the Tyrell corporation. Pretty sure it's a legal issue, so they just use a keyword vaguely connected. They make shirts based off Han Solo's costume, but they're tagged as "Smuggler" shirts. They make shirts based off some of the Daniel Craig James Bond films, but same as before, they're labeled like "Skyfall" shirt.

There was a guy back in the 90's who manufactured Star Wars/Star Trek props out of his garage. He put out a catalog and deliberately misspelled every name to dodge any potential lawsuits. (I believe he was eventually shut down anyway.)

I wouldn't pay a dollar for that shirt, though. Hell, you couldn't pay ME to wear it!

Just to not sound like I'm bashing that vendor, I own four of their "Adventurer" shirts, which not only cost less, they're custom-tailored.

I see a lot of fedora hats listed with names such as Jones, or Indiana (the connection to the movies isn't so vague as to be missed ). Along with the actual licensed ones.

Many of the ones I've seen tend to label the hat with either a keyword from the movie title or a specific scene. A "Doom" hat refers to Temple of Doom, and "Dial" hat refers to Dial of Destiny. A "Cairo" hat is referring to Raiders of the Lost Ark, but very specifically to the scenes taking place in the Cairo marketplace, as the hat ostensibly takes on a unique appearance in that sequence. (Trust me, some Indy fans are rather over-exacting in their quest for screen-accuracy.)
