fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

The Bills are 3-1 but after 2 weeks of pathetic performance on the filed I'm hoping they can turn it around quickly or I'll be joining you in the pit of despair.

Previously I referred to the Texans as the Texlers until they reached the SB  or fired O'Brian.

Now I'm just going stop expecting anything from them, & stop watching their games. Two straight years of regression is enough for me :(.

    Thank you, Buccaneers.

Thankfully that thank you* doesn't include Baker Mayfield ;).

    * Great writing :(.

    College football.

UH Cougars, slight underdogs, won big.

    Tex A&M Aggies lost big.

UT Longhorns, ranked #1, could lose to the unranked Oklahoma Sooners. 1:05 left in the game, 24-24.

    Yes!!!
    Sooners 27,
    Longhorns 24

Chris are you excited about your new wide receiver?

    I don't know.

    Will this reclamation succeed?

How would have the Texans used that future second round pick?

Are the Texans counting on adding another top (hopefully) receiver to make up for a mediocre offensive line?

The upside is potentionally huge, the price not too high.

Edit: Random thought...The Cardinals got a proven & prime Hopkins from the Texlers for a song under GM & HC O'Brien. He didn't turn them around, but it was a shitty trade for the Texlers.

It has to be worth someone giving this guy another shot.
If he busts on the Texans that's it for him.
Not quite Ryan Leaf level failure but up there.

I don't know if the Bills are blessed or cursed, but the Rams are definitely cursed. I started watching midway of the third quarter & was very entertained by the lack of defense (excepting a few key plays).

    That was quite the spectacle.
I think the Bills and us fans are both......

    College...

My Cougars won a shootout with Oklahoma state.

UT Longhorns lost to the unranked Florida Gators. That makes two games in a row the Horns (once ranked 1 in the country) have lost to an unranked team.

TX A&M Aggie won big over...the...Citadel. I think the Gainsville Grannies could beat the Citadel.

Coolest football team name in the NCAA? Rainbow Warriors, Hawaii.

    Well now...
It is possible, but not probable, for the Texans to go 5-1 in the AFC South. They did get some help when the Titans beat the Colts after the Texans beat the Jags. A great division record with decent conference record could mean a salvaged 2026/2027 season.

    I'm barely cautiously optimistic.

Thank you, Packers. I should count the number of penalties on the girls last TD drive.

How long can the Bills keep winning close games? What happens when Allen gets seriously blasted on one of his Real Men Don't Slide runs?

How long can the Rams keep losing close games?

Weren't the Chargers supposed to be developing into a good team?

Are the Browns really 4-2? Are the Bears, & the Bengals, for real?

    What happened to my Eagles?

Many good questions, but I can answer about the Bills: If the defense doesn’t improve we aren’t going anywhere. I could see Mahomes putting up 100 points against this D in a playoff game.
Why won’t Josh slide? I wish we knew after 9 years, but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to change now.

    Miscellaneous

    Good:
Brewers are up 2-0 over the Rays.
[WTF? For some reason the software here, or on my tablet, kept rewriting this sentence.]

    Aggies lost again.

    Bad:
My Cougars lost, the offense was offensive.

Longhorns won. Ole Miss' defense created opportunities to win, while the offense made some unbelievably stupid mistakes.

I wanted to post this before the game started, but I got caught up having lunch.

If I were a NFL analyst I would have the Texans on my Upset Alert list. The Giants aren't very good & they're playing at Houston. The Texans could be overconfident.

My Broncos just went to 5-2, but it feels like they aren't a 5-2 team. Most of the 5 wins have been nailbiters, and the 2 losses were not close. I think last year was an accidental SuperBowl opportunity that got away from them. Still drives me crazy that between 20 years of Elway and Manning we only got three Lombardis and the Chefs already have 3 Lombardis in 8 years with Mahomes. Especially when the Chefs went something like 20 years without a playoff win before Reid and Mahomes.

McCarthy played a very efficient game, & Skattebo ran over the Texans in overtime.

The good news is if the Giants continue to improve they might help keep the cowgirls out of the playoffs.

The bad news is the Texans aren't back to top form. But when your
division rivals are Titans, Colts, & Jaguars, who knows?

I think Ryans will be given next season, on a very hot seat. He wouldn't be the first HC to be fired after his first HC job who then goes on to be a very successful HC.

Close wins count, but they make you wonder when the luck is going to run out.

The Bills had a good week off with the Patriots and Chiefs losing.
Will the Buffalo defense come to life next week? We are all waiting to see.
