Sorry to hear about that. Some people are just jerks. Whenever I run into something similar I usually end up consoling myself in the fact that I know they will get theirs at some point.
Just out of curiosity, what town are you in? I know of some government websites that sell foreclosed property and am curious if there aren't any in your area.
