IMHO, the problem was the asshole who yelled at you that once. What you're talking about doing is NORMAL BEHAVOIR in a machine shortage situation. If someone had yelled at me for doing something like this, I'd've yelled back at him to be glad they had been put on a nice clean place, instead of the trash can.
