That site says "Unlike latex condoms, lambskin condoms are not recommended for STD prevention because they are porous and may permit passage of viruses like HIV, hepatitis B and herpes."

I'm curious, how does this prevent pregnancy, but not STDs? Is the sperm larger than the viruses, and thus can't slip through the tiny holes in the lambskin condoms?
