Hate.

It bugs the hell out of me when people use the word "hate" to describe how much they dislike something. To me "hate" is a pure (though negative) word, very like "love" in that it should be used only when one is certain that it is being used sincerely.

That's actually what forced me to add my $.02 to this thread...!
