You don't need to install a new browser, you'll need to install a JRE (Java Runtime Environment) though. Goto
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html and download the J2SE JRE not the SDK, unless you actually want to do java development. There are probably simpler ways than installing a JRE, but that is the way I usually do things.
