That's the best recount of a shopping expediton that I've ever heard!!
I hate Lowes, much for the same reasons. The only time I've ever had good luck there, was when I went by myself and played up 'the helpless, silly girl' routine. Not that I'm proud of that, and I'm disgusted I had to resort to it. But it worked, and I really did need help wrestling sheets of plywood into my Dodge Shadow.
