If you want to see her acting, just check out old episodes of 7th Heaven on the WB. Horrible, granted, all the acting on that show is horrible.
But I don't understand all of your dislike of her dad's viewpoint. The guy was a baptist minister until his daughters made him very wealthy. Now he's her manager and he made a call to try and better her career. I'm not saying it was the right call but give the guy a break. Just because his viewpoint on homosexuality differs from yours means you would be a better manager. Quotes like "Fuck uberchristians" are hateful, and quite sad really.
