I don't think the stainless steel appliances have any kind of stainless steel paneling or coating on the inside, I believe it's just on the outside for looks. I have seen dishwashers that are all stainless steel on the interior, and those are very cool.
I never thought about the fact that magnets didn't stick to stainless steel, I've never tested that, but that's something to think about, I suppose. Those really expensive fridges and such by Sub-Zero or Viking are pretty nice, but I just can't see dropping $4000-5000 on a FRIDGE! Maybe when I'm rich someday
