I will let you know how it pans out. I know the LS1 has a bit more top-end pull than the LT1 does, so I think my advantage in a gear swap would be a bit greater. However, I'm guessing your car is an A4 if it has 2.73s. In my opinion the single best mod you can do is get yourself a higher stall torque convertor. Of all the things I've done to my car, that is the single best mod. I highly recommend it.
