Well I talked to my buddy that is a vw mechanic and he said there is only 3 things I would need.
1. Engine
2. Transmission or just the 5th gear from a tdi transmission
3. Wiring harness
He said its an easy swap, I found an engine about an hour away for $1600 and a transmission in chicago for about $800, i'm yet to locate a wiring harness. If I get a jetta or a golf with the 2.0 and stick my friend will take both and do the swap for free.
