I remember John Lennon's death as well, although it did not affect me nearly as much as it did the OP. I do remember feeling a sense of sadness, and at the time I really didn't comprehend what a loss it really was. "Watching the Wheels" and "Imagine" were two of my favorite songs from those days, and again I didn't fully comprehend their meaning, at the time they just sounded good. Since then I have come to appreciate his music even more, and realize just what the world lost when John Lennon was taken from us. I really believe his best music was yet to come. What a shame.
