Divorce or breaking up????
there's a whole load of difference...
if it's a divorce then it's part of the property, if it's breaking up it depends on who broke off the engagement.
If it's the woman, it's to be returned as it's considered in most states breach of contract.
If it's the man, then he's SOL.
