I know people who have friends who live in Cronulla. It seems the tension between the whites and the lebs has been around for years - this appears to be the first time it has turned into something larger than a minor incident on the beach, though.
I'm with dlish in being disgusted by this. It is a very sad day when this kind of thing happens in my city (albiet as far from where I live and still being in the same city as is possible).
