Well, I work for my own company, so I don't have a time clock to punch, real or figurative. My hours are dictated by the status of any current project(s), and by how much work I have to do to fix code written by our off-shore labor pool.
I always start my day early, as I go to the gym first and prefer to miss the morning rush. I will trade sleep for a smooth ride in. I am usually the first in the office, which gives me time to leisurely sip my caffiene juice and check the latest TFP posts.
I work until I'm done, where done means "finished the bitch", "sick of the shit", or "my daughter's softball game starts in 30 minutes". Not having a time clock also means there is no magic "Get the Fuck Out" hour. Unlike in previous jobs, I never watch the clock. Sometimes done means "Hello? ...Hello? Anybody here? Holy shit, look at the time!".
There are no "sick" or "vacation" days to accrue or keep track of. If I'm sick, I stay home. If I want to leave early, I do. If I want a day off, I take one. When I want a week off for vacation, I let my partners know my plans ahead of time.
Another benefit of working for yourself is...Boobies! No one is looking over my shoulder or logging my surf destinations. On a slow day I can cover a lot of boobage. ;-)
