Yeah you're right. Right after I posted I got to thinking about someone wanting to be a sniper. Takes a certain type of person to do that job I think. I've only met one or two snipers, but neither of them had any kills though.
But as far as the OP goes, I searched online and could find no record of any such interview. While I do think it is certainly possible, especially from a Marine, I could find no record of it being real.
