It's 3 months later and after a long time with no problems, the squeal returned today. It definitely has something to do with signal input, video specifically. If I unplug the S-Video cables from either end, the squeal goes away. I have just 1 S-Video input on my TV, so I have an S-Video switcher so I can run both my DirecTV and DVD player off S-Video. I have not yet tracked down if this is a cable issue, a switcher issue, or something internal in the TV

Have you turned the volume down all the way to see if it is the speakers? My TV has a ground loop over the speakers when I use a HDMI connection, so I don’t use the speakers.
