I don't think I ever owned a non-mix tape, and I was too young for records. Maybe I'll get a record player and buy some Belle and Sebastian on vinyl or something.
My first CD was Cyndi Lauper's 12 Deadly Cins. Mum bought it for me when she bought me my first Boom Box in grade two. ^_^
