I'm thirding the OB tampons thing- when I used tampons I liked their non-applicator variety pack. Not having an applicator made it HELLA easy to put it in right where it needed to be, and I didn't get bloody or anything like that because my finger was on the tampon the whole time.
Or, you could just get a Diva Cup... I LOVE MY DIVA CUP!
