I think what you have planned is very thoughtful. It's the thought that really counts, having something written or typed/printed for her would be an extra special touch. I know i'm a card girl myself... that way I get to read it over and over and relive the anniversary/occasion.
It's the small thoughtful things that she'll really love. Maybe have her favorite flowers delivered to the door with a special note? You can order online now and have a set time when they will deliver it, I think that would be a nice touch. I know my sister's husband did that for her, just a big bunch of her favorite color of dasies... she melted on the spot and it wasn't too hard on the pocketbook.
