I shave IN the shower. I have one of those anti-fog mirrors (which doesn't really work, but if you hose it down with hot shower water, it stays unfogged long enough to get the job done). I use Barbasol Aloe shaving cream. I make one pass with the grain (I'm not going to say "up" or "down", because those directions may not be how your beard grows), a second pass across the grain, and, if I still feel stubble, a third VERY GENTLE pass against the grain.

I can only do this once ever two or three days. If I shave every day, my neck gets badly chopped up. I have to take at least one day off.
